Sonic Solutions said today that its movie services will be available on consumer electronics gear sold at Sears and Kmart stores. Novato, Calif.-based Sonic provides the RoxioNow platform, which can deliver digital movies over Internet connections to home devices such as PCs, TVs, Blu-ray players and mobile phones. In a multi-year deal with Sears Holdings, owner of 3,000 Sears and Kmart stores, Sonic will offer movies and TV shows for rent or purchase. Gimme the Gig's focus is on the redesigned 2012 Ford Focus Ford will record the winning bands on the spot and upload the tracks to iTunes using the Focus's in-car wifi feature, chevy teamed up with band Ok Go -- Chevy Sonic is used to make the music: OK Go's members drive a specially equipped Sonic through a track lined with musical instruments and other sound-generating objects. Devices attached to the outside of the car play the instruments and devices along the route, resulting in sounds that make up the song.

Chevrolet and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners have come up with various fun and games to launch the new Sonic, the car "that's up for anything," under the theme "Let's do this." The brand wants you to prove that you're up for anything by performing little tasks (like baking a cake of yourself and eating it), submitting evidence of your feats (pics, or it didn't happen) and earning badges, Foursquare style.

Chevrolet is making a radical departure from its approach to turn-by-turn navigation services. After using parent company's General Motors' OnStar service since its inception, Chevy is offering a competing alternative in its Sonic and Spark automobile lines. Called BringGo, it's an integrated smartphone-dashboard system - Chevy's first attempt at a bring-your-own-maps nav service to any of its vehicles.
