At a recent Data Science meetup, a second statistic that puts the 90% figure in context. The 90% figure has been true over the last 30 years. Every two years we generate 10 times as much data.
ie 1985 = 1, 2015 = 1 * 10 ^ (30/2) i.e. 2015 has 10^15 more data than 1985.
