Microsoft's resolve to filling-in the web app productivity space dominated by Google is increasingly on the spotlight as the company demonstrated more collaborative Office features on more devices. "Beginning in February, Microsoft plans to offer a new feature for young students: Immersive Reader dictation, a new feature within Office 365 apps for Windows and the Mac. As a parent of two elementary school students, though, I'm concerned that this feature-which brings smartphone-style voice dictation to traditional desktop apps-will be an unwelcome crutch."

Vero e proprio OS (sistema operativo) che sostituisce gli altri sistemi operativi sulla LIM e dunque ha senso nell'aula scolastica. E' opensource. E' portabile, quindi - messo in chiavetta - può essere usato a casa dagli allievi. Contiene solo software libero (la suite di Libre Office, per citarne uno) e una serie di strumenti didattici fondamentali, compreso VoxOoFox per il riconoscimento vocale (per i dislessici, ad esempio). Apparentemente ci può essere qualche problemino nell'installazione di VoxOoFox in Oo 3.4. Qui la soluzione (in francese). Attenzione anche all'antivirus Avast, che non permette l'installazione del programma.
