Hi, guys. I've just posted our second week on our wiki, though we're still on week 1. Just for the ones who like to play around during the weekend. Thanks for the wonderful contribution on week 1! This is truly a social bookmarking experience. Let's keep digging Diigo. Carla and Susana.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt - Global Education Challenge - Idea Display - 3 views

  • our educational system practices have a tendency to foster dependence, passivity and a "tell me what to do" attitude. Effective learning is that students are in charge of their own learning and progress.  A growing body of research indicates that when students are working on goals they themselves have set, they are more motivated and efficient, and they achieve more than they do when working on goals that have been set by the teacher.

I love Diigo but would not recommend it for students because of the social networking aspect. WebNotes allows students to highlight and add sticky notes to webpages and then generate a pdf or html report or send the page via email or permalink.
