Welcome to the Let's Play Projects! - 1 views

  •
"These projects provide ideas and strategies to promote play through better access to play materials, and use assistive technology to give the children this critical access. Typical solutions revolve around "low tech" assistive technology. By building on what the child can do, and by creating interactive play environments, families can reclaim play as a critical component of childhood! Look here for information on selecting toys for play, toys for children with disabilities, adapting toys to make them easier to use, locating specially designed toys as well as other resources to promote play."

"This six session Anger Management program originated from a commitment to helping children (from the ages of 2.5 and up) begin to build a foundation for understanding anger and incorporate strategies to deal with feelings of anger in their every day lives. Although at the present time this program has been used with Early Childhood Educators and children in child care, home providers and parents could also implement the program (or individual strategies from the sessions)."

Buried in that section are some nice, simple, online, switch adaptable, read aloud stories for all ages. Be sure to give them a look.

Technology and Young Children | National Association for the Education of Young Childre... - 0 views

"When used intentionally and appropriately, technology and interactive media are effective tools to support learning and development. Intentional use requires early childhood teachers and administrators to have information and resources regarding the nature of these tools and the implications of their use with children. Limitations on the use of technology and media are important. Special considerations must be given to the use of technology with infants and toddlers. Attention to digital citizenship and equitable access is essential. Ongoing research and professional development are needed."
