This is a really great e-book (free, downloadable PDF) which organizes Web 2.0 education projects by grade level, including a section for adult learners, and a section of resources. There are links to all projects and analysis and self-reflection by the project creators.

    This website,created by the Clinton RESA, Ingham ISD, Macomb ISD & Shiawassee RESD, offers 21 technology concepts (e.g. blogs, digital citizenship, online video resources) that teachers might want to incorporate into their classrooms. While the site is aimed at K-12 teachers, it is likely that teachers at all levels can find something worthwhile here. NOTE: the site was built in 2008; in the fast-moving 2.0 world, there might be tools that are since out of date.

    Presented by the Knight Digital Media Center, these presentations are described as "multimedia and internet technology training workshops," on topics like Digital Storytelling ("How to tell stories with Data (Reallly)") and Web 2.0 Training ("Digital Visualization Strategy and Workflow" or "Data Visualization on a Budget"). While the workshops are geared to journalists, many of the lessons might be relevant to those in other public-facing fields as well.

Nussbaum-Beach founded Powerful Learning Practice, with creates virtual CoPs, primarily with K-12 educators. Their model is to collect teams from several schools to work together in a larger CoP. In the first year, participants share in an action research project; if they chose to continue for a second year, they "collaboratively create" a classroom unit.

    Many of the ideas here -- specifically those around engagement and various assessments/measures of success -- seem akin to KPI's own findings. Interesting project and interview.

    Mendeley is both a (free) reference manager and an "academic social network." Users can import papers they are using for research, highlight, annotate, and tag them. Mendeley will provide an appropriately formatted citation for the paper. Additionally, users can search the citations (and descriptions) of papers that others have contributed to Mendeley, as well as creating and joining groups with like-minded researchers.
