We were following Rypple for a long time, giving human ressource management a new vision. Now integrated with Salesforce, it's a great move, both for talent management area than for Salesforce (and Ryplpe :)).
It's clear that salesforce is building a strong social and collaborative ecosystem, with do.com, rypple.com, sites.com and of course after the success of chatter, they are little by little entering the space as a major palyer.
This is the big question. You know my answer, in the future we'll not need anymore files, because everything will be manager online (produced and consumed online). I'm living with this all day, the only files I'm managing are those received from external people. Myself I'm not producing anymore files, everything is produced on a SaaS service (mind maps, docs, spreadsheets, accounting, billing, timesheet, bug tracking, development tracking, sales pipeline, CRM, task management, etc...)
Very good presentation about the future of Social Networks. Fully agree with the vision, we are telling it also for a few years. There will be many networks, not only one, the same in the professional life, and the great challenge of the future will be to manage these networks and to manage privacy between these networks. At the same time social networks will be the basis of any work or personal relationship. So it is essential to reach this goal.
A true zero-email change in the way at Atos. For the first time a large company will (perhaps) succeed in this direction. Anouncing this from 2000. Great to see that they embraced the challenge, and the top management is at the same time the makers and gives example.
Competition in the cloud file management will be hard. Dropbox, Box, Drive, Skydrive, .... great actors, with a lot of interesting features. I think Box missed the opportunity to have a great Google Apps integration, they didn't follow our suggestions, implementing Google Docs is a very odd way, and Google now has done with Drive what Box could have done years before. So for most of our customers, it's better to use Drive than Box, even if Box features are by themselves more interesting. But with no correct integration of Google Docs, this doesn't allow to use thme in the google Apps environment.
