This article is probably one of my favorites. It shows how children's interactions and care for another person can greatly impact their aggression levels. The response of caring for someone else overcomes the want to hurt another.

It also goes into availability of interactive whiteboards in classrooms, if they are developmentally appropriate, and a score sheet to evaluate software for use in education.

This article provides another view on the cost effectiveness and the uselfulness that the iPad provides in all classrooms, especially for autistic students. It describes a pilot research study that proved to support integrating the iPad into special education curriculums because of the wide range of uses and tools it provides. One of the main points the researcher argued is that the iPad has multiple uses and can replace the many devices that are apparent in special education programs.

As a Spanish teacher, I want to give my students opportunities to speak with native speakers, but the site is not specifically for language learners. This is a persuasive essay detailing the positive effects of a controlled setting with laptop use in classes. Having a small number of laptops and placing the students in groups would allow the laptops to be used in a controlled setting with laptop time being much more valuable having to share with other students. Having one laptop per group would allow the laptop to be a tool of necessity rather than entertainment.

This source offers a different perspective on plagiarism detection methods, arguing that they cause more harm than good. Students become better at cheating by finding ways around these barrier. In addition to this, there is an atmosphere of fear in classroom, even for those who haven't plagiarized. Instead, teachers should focus on teaching preventative measures, like how to properly cite and research.

This site includes a large variety of information and resources on the use of tablets in education. One of the most notable features of this space is that its creator has included a long list of tutorials that can aid teachers in bringing unfamiliar technology into their daily instruction.

This website contains all the information that is provided for a no-cost public school funded system where families can have curriculum appropriate materials ("even bags of rocks and dirt") delivered to their front door and complete graded Kindergarten through the 12th grade virtually from home. They claim these virtual students will spend about 20-25% of their time working on the computer, while high school students in this program can plan to spend about three hours each day on the computer. So far, the best resource for my topic would probably be "Education World: Hand-Held Technology 'Clicks' With Students". This article is about the effects of the clicker in the classroom. Like how the clickers help students become more engaged with the lesson and gives the teacher feedback of how the students are responding to the lesson. This article also addresses the issue of why the clickers might not be for everyone.
