The goal of this project is to provide teachers a list of common terms or phrases aimed at improving vocabulary development of students in Tennessee. Although there is no single best way to teach terms and phrases, Dr. Marzano's research and theory on vocabulary development does point to a few generalizations that provide strong guidance. This site is dedicated to the sixth step in that process by providing a collection of games and activities designed to review and strengthen vocabulary development.

This is a fee-based service, but the activities it contains are aligned to standards. The interactives really help to unlock the potential of your interactive white board. Students can also access the activities from home for additional practice and reinforcement. It's a great service that might be worth checking out.

Fun activity for whiteboard

Great interactive CD-ROM project from folks who bring you "The Digital Frog." This page outlines an educator's license, but try the Demo first! It looks great for an Ecology class.

Photos, videos, animations and interactive exercises teach about such topics as photosynthesis, wetland types and mechanisms, wetland plants and animals, formation and succession, food webs and the impact of humans on this vital ecosystem. Who Pooped--antastically fun IWB activity for Science
