ICT in Primary Education

After using Scratch, a great tool to learn programming, I discovered there is a version for 5-7 years old, ScratchJr, as an app for tablets

I have used this game a lot in secondary/middle schools to check the pupils understanding of a certain topic. The pupils have to set up their own questions, and also provide the correct answer and several false ones. The pupils enjoy it because 'They think they are just making up a game', when in fact you can look at what they are setting up and in they indeed have the knowledge to do this. I have only used this in Year 5/6 in terms of primary school and I would probably recommended for that age group upwards.

The Zimmer Twins website invites kids to create and share their own animated stories. A great resource to engage those children are reluctant at putting pen to paper for story writing.
