Probably the best way to know is to order flowers by both of them, and compare the charges and service.     It is a good idea for selling daily stuffs online. It is tightly related to the Global Distribution System. I have the same question like Melissa, is it guaranteed to be delivered in one day? And does the website have a cheaper price? Otherwise why people choose to use online distributors rather than just going to Supermarket to get flowers at the same price?

    Yes I have ordered flowers online before through 1-800 Flowers because I needed flowers delivered in another state and I was not familiar with the florists in the area. I trusted the Teleflora company (1-800 Flowers) to have the same quality of flowers in all locations but this is simply not true. I was very disappointed on several occasions by having wilted old flowers in small arrangements delivered. Not only is it embarrassing but it is frustrating to the consumer having paid so much money and not been happy with the product. I do not use these online companies anymore. I go to the florist websites and go by word of mouth which is time consuming (something I was hoping to avoid by using the online florist in the first place). That is why I bring up the question of how this FloristAdvisor differs from other companies and how are they succeeding? Bing I like to go to the supermarket and make my own arrangements if they receiver of my intended bouquet is close by. Fresh Market has excellent flowers, a bit pricey but they are great quality and last.

By the end of 2015 The Intercontinental Hotels Group plans on equipping over 4,000 of their hotels with a system that monitors and assists in energy use and conservation. They have a goal of reducing their overall water use by 12% in California in part due to the severe ongoing drought. The Loews in Santa Monica Beach is investing $96,000 in a laundry-water recycling system. It will recycle nearly 70% of water use and pay for itself in less than 2 years. Apart from it's ability to cut-costs and truly give back to the environment, "going green" is highly marketable. One of the Intercontinental's General Managers was quoted saying "It's not a huge savings. I think it's about sending the right message." I have personally seen many RFPs from large corporate companies that request green-initiatives from hotels. Improving sustainability is important to the customer and the establishment. Around 60% of travelers consider green initiatives when selecting a destination and activity. Of those 60%, over half said they would even pay more to stay at an establishment that respected and helped improve the environment. The social media use and monitoring has been a big shift in how we have changed the way we capture our guests' sentiment from comment cards being left or mailed to the hotel, to being able to receive immediate feedback in a very public way such as through Tripadvisor, Open Table, Facebook, Twitter, etc. We employ a digital media manager who assists in monitoring all that is said about us through these different channels so we can respond and try to stay on top of what is being commented.
