Unlike the masala oriented themes that filmmakers used to target, debutant director Faraz Haider decided to showcase the relations between the two countries, India-Pakistan, in a light manner in his upcoming film War Chhod Na Yaar, starring Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan and Jaaved Jaaferi. It is India’s first war comedy based film.For choosing this odd and controversial concept, the young filmmaker said he and his team have taken some harmless cinematic liberties in portraying different characters on both sides (India and Pak). Faraz shares, “Until now, almost all films made on Indo-Pak issues showed Pakistan in a bad light. I'm not saying it is wrong, nor am I pointing fingers at anyone. Also, the purpose behind making this film is not to hurt Pakistan or its people. We’ve shown the human side of all army men, Indian or Pakistani, without forgetting their sacrifices for their countries. But we have taken some harmless cinematic liberties in portraying different characters on both sides.”He explained that the initial days on the film weren’t easy. “When I thought of making this film, many people close to me told me not to touch this topic as it would be too sensitive. I understand India and Pakistan have a lot of problems which need an immediate solution. But instead of solving them, we're busy fighting over unimportant issues,” he said.Produced by AOPL Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, War Chhod Na Yaar is coming in theaters on October 11.

Shah Rukh Khan, who outshined all at the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA), said recently that his upcoming film Chennai Express by Rohit Shetty is an all rounder film. He said it is a comedy, action and entertainment packed project different from the intense and serious films he has done in the recent past.

Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar proved his credibility with his role in epic film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which was immensely appreciated by the critics as well as the audience. Now, the latest the sources hear about the actor is that he would be seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s film, where he is expected to share screen space with none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan. We would like to remind you that even the two have earlier worked in Lakshya, which starred Mr. Bachchan, and was directed by Farhan, but it would be first time when Farhan and Mr. Bachchan would be seen together on silver screen. The film would be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Sources close to the project said, "This time the two will be working together as actors. The film is going to be a high voltage drama.''As of now, Farhan is keen to explore himself in acting, hence direction would ultimately take a backseat for a time being. But it is learnt that he will write dialogues for his sister Zoya’s upcoming film, and Nitya Mehra's directorial debut. Films capture journeys but in Imtiaz Ali's much-awaited Highway, the journey has made the film. Presented by Sajid Nadiadwala and starring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda, the film traverses six states of north India and captures the landscape of the different regions as it goes along.Highway Diaries, are short video snippets that capture the journey of the film and all the exciting experiences that the cast and crew had during its making.In the latest episode of Highway Diaries titled 'Songs of the Valley', Imtiaz Ali is seen sitting with gujari folk singer Begum Jaan and her group, engrossed in  their music, while shooting for' Highway' at Aru valley in Kashmir. He says, “...while it (the song) should connect with the larger experience that Veera (Alia's character) has in the film, it should still be about that time and place..and its music."The film comes out in February!
