Neeraj Pandey, one of India’s finest contemporary filmmakers, today launched his debut novel Ghalib Danger at an event that was attended by the stars of his cinematic ventures.  After entertaining Indians all over the world with memorable and much-loved films like A Wednesday and Special 26, the critically acclaimed director, who is no stranger to thrillers has further explored the genre with his first book.A fictional gangster saga set in the visually eclectic Mumbai underworld, Ghalib Danger makes Neeraj one of the rare Bollywood directors who have also authored novels. Ghalib Danger revolves around the life of its main protagonist Kamran Ali. A young taxi driver by profession, Kamran stays in Mumbai and dreams of making it big someday. However a twist of fate awaited him as on an eventful day his life transforms when he saves the life of a notorious underworld don from called Mirza. As an act of gratitude, Mirza takes Kamran under his tutelage.Speaking of his book, the celebrated film writer-director and now author says, ‘Writing has always been a passion and when the story of Kamran and his world took shape in my mind, I knew that only a book would do full justice to it. It’s a story of destinies that collide and shape the world of our characters’.The launch of Neeraj’s first book was also a special occasion for some of his favourite stars to come and cheer in support. The R...Rajkumar team unveiled the first ever custom comic for a Bollywood film at the Reliance Digital Store in Mumbai today. Producer Viki Rajani, director Prabhu Dheva and the lead pair- Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor - who looked all excited to present the fun-filled comic of their upcoming film, were present at the event.The storyline of the comic has been shortlisted from the entries sent by enthusiastic fans across the nation. The winners not only got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to feature in the comics, but were also invited and introduced at the launch.Talking about R...Rajkumar’s custom comic, producer Viki Rajani said "Movie marketing continues to become more innovative and with this film, we have attempted initiatives to reach across all mediums. I'm happy to have the first ever custom comic book for R...Rajkumar which involved direct participation by fans and showed their keen response and enthusiasm".Shahid and Sonakshi, ecstatic with the response the songs of the film have been receiving, said that they were eagerly looking forward to the release of the film. Every actress craves to work with action-hit Prabhu Deva, however, for actress Bipasha Basu friendship comes first. The actress was recently approached to play third girl, along with Sonakshi Sinha and Yaami Gautam, in Prabhudheva's Action Jackson.However, she rather chose to work with Sajid Khan, who is shooting Humshakals. In the film she has been paired opposite Riteish Deshmukh. Bips is great friends with both Riteish and Sajid. Hence the role, which was Bipasha offered in Action Jackson, which stars Ajay Devgn as male lead, will be played by supermodel Manasvi Mamgai.Even Humshakals stars three leading ladies. While Bips is paired opposite Riteish, the other two Tamannaah Bhatia and Esha Gupta, are opposite Saif Ali Khan. The shooting of the film is currently taking place in UK, where Sajid has finalised locations, such as London, Portsmouth and Gosport."In London for Humshakals, new film. Actress-producer Sharon Stone is presently to India where she attended an amfAR fund-raising event. The event was attended by who’s and who’s of Bollywood and she was glad to meet such well-known personalities.Stone was pleased to meet the B-town couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, and she found them very generous."Aishwarya had come to Cannes as she is the L'Oreal girl. It is very gracious of her to come here. I am looking forward to see the husband and wife today (Sunday) evening. They are so generous people," Stone told reporters before the event started.For those unaware, Abhishek and Aishwarya hosted the amfAR event on Sunday (November 17, 2013) night. Talking about India, she said that she is in love with the country, and is looking forward to see Taj Mahal. She says, "I love this country, India is beautiful. Once Amitabh Bachchan said in a statement that people in filmdom used to criticise him in his initial stage because of his giraffe length height, but instead of getting disappointed from the comments he fought with the community and proved his mettle to the entire industry.Something similar has experienced by Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur, who says when she landed in tinsel town, people had different opinions about her look. She had an illiberal experience when a filmmaker advised her to go for a plastic surgery. She said, “When I came into the industry, people had different opinions about how I look. Some told me I was too pretty, others said I wasn't fair enough or tall enough. Nearly seven years ago, I was even advised by a filmmaker to consider plastic surgery. Soon, I stopped thinking about what works.”The actress, who stars in much acclaimed film The Lunchbox, has been now praised for her looks and performance by audience and critics as well. About the success she said, “I am happy with the kind of launch I have got. It is a very exciting time for actors as roles that can surprise them are being written. This was not the case 15 years ago. A film like The Dirty Picture would not have been possible then. Also we, including the audience, are more exposed to world cinema these days. Recently the first look of Shah Rukh Khan’s newborn son AbRam was revealed. Even though it was not a close look, but still it mattered to his fans, as it was the first sight of SRK and his wife Gauri’s surrogate child. And AbRam’s daddy dearest has all good things to say about the little kid, as he says when his infant kid is around, everyday is a festival for the family."We are very happy that he is part of our lives. With him around, everyday is a festival for us as he is in the house," Shah Rukh said.At the same time, he revealed how disappointed his was learning about Sachin Tendulkar’s retirement. "When I heard about it I was in Australia...I learnt about it a little late...I felt bad. He has taken the decision as he understands sports better. He did a lot for cricket.
