Shoojit Sircar and Ronnie Lahiri’s new production, under their banner Rising Sun Films, Running Shaadi.com has just gone on the floors in Amritsar. Directed by first-timer Amit Roy, the film stars Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu in the lead and will be primarily shot in Punjab.Co-produced by Crouching Tiger Motion Pictures, Running Shaadi.com is a youth romantic comedy centered around this website which helps people elope and get married. Delving deep into the minds of India’s young, especially in the smaller towns, the film is intelligently entertaining with an array of endearing characters.Debutant Director Amit Roy has previously worked as a cinematographer for filmmakers like Ram Gopal Varma (Sarkar) and Rohan Sippy (Dum Maaro Dum). Running Shaadi.com will be his first venture as a Director. The film's leading man, Amit Sadh, who has been a rage on television, had a successful switch to the big screen earlier this year with Kai Po Che. He will romance Taapsee Pannu, who is already a big name down South and was the cynosure of all eyes in David Dhawan's remake of Chashme Baddoor recently.Having made two back-to-back hits like Vicky Donor and Madras Cafe, Shoojit is now supporting new directors to realise their dreams under his banner.“Amit Roy is a friend for many years so when he came to me with this script, I thought it was very interesting and a sweet love story which we decided to produce under our banner, Rising Sun Films. Vidya Balan’s last release Ghanchakkar failed to garner good reviews from the critics as well as the audience. However, now she gears up for yet another release Shaadi Ke Side Effects, where she will be seen opposite Farhan Akhtar.Director Saket Chaudhary says, "The film attempts to explain what most people fail to understand in a lifetime — what makes a marriage work!"Producer Pritish Nandy says, "The film is peppered with loads of post-marriage side effects. When Sid (played by Farhan) makes a mistake, he says sorry. And when his wife Trisha (played by Vidya) makes a mistake, he says sorry again! It is a witty, sexy, hilarious comedy that will warm your hearts."He further says, "We have Farhan and Vidya, together for the first time on screen. They make the perfect couple, each fighting for space in their marriage."The theatrical trailer will be out with Krrish 3, which releases on November 1, and stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Vivek Oberoi as leads. Vidya Balan’s last hit came in the form with Kahaani, as her last release Ghanchakkar failed to entertain the audience. And now she is looking forward to change the scenario with her upcoming film Shaadi ke Side Effects, for which a release date has been finalized.It is learnt that the comedy flick will come out on Valentine’s Day. "My next movie is releasing next year on Feb 14. It's with Farhan Akhtar. We are almost done with the shoot. Just two days' work left," Vidya told reporters here.

Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar proved his credibility with his role in epic film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which was immensely appreciated by the critics as well as the audience. Now, the latest the sources hear about the actor is that he would be seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s film, where he is expected to share screen space with none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan. We would like to remind you that even the two have earlier worked in Lakshya, which starred Mr. Bachchan, and was directed by Farhan, but it would be first time when Farhan and Mr. Bachchan would be seen together on silver screen. The film would be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Sources close to the project said, "This time the two will be working together as actors. The film is going to be a high voltage drama.''As of now, Farhan is keen to explore himself in acting, hence direction would ultimately take a backseat for a time being. Ekta Kapoor’s long running TV show Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV has been grabbing attention post the big-fat generation leap. Ankita Lokhande, the protagonist is now seen playing double role and the storyline has been shifted to a completely new block. In the coming episodes, Ankita (Ankita Lokhande) will be seen taking a major decision of her life. To bring out her family from the financial crisis, she will get herself ready to marry her boss Naren (Karan Mehra), who suffers from a mental ailment. She sacrifies her life to make her siblings financially stable. According to the sources, “Archana's mother-in-law, Savita tai (Usha Nadkarni) and mother Sulochana (Savita Prabhune) will be seen inviting characters from various shows on the channel to attend the wedding. The wedding will be aired in an hour-and-a-half long shaadi-special maha episode, which is currently being shot.”Popular characters like, Zoya (Surbhi Jyoti) and Tanveer (Amrapali Gupta) of Qubool Hai Rachana (Mahima Makwana) of Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke and Shivani (Mansi Shrivastava) of Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, will join the wedding bash and will see dancing at the sangeet ceremony.Sources added, “Kamla (Shilpa Shirodkar) and Vitthal (Mohit Dagga) of Ek Mutthi Asmaan, Shail (Vaishnavi Mahant) and Seema (Alka Mogha) of Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Farhaan ( Vishal Nayak), Nikhat (Archana Taide) and Haseena (Nishi Singh) of Qubool Hai, Shruti (Gautami Kapoor) and Sanjay (Manav Gohil) of Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi will also be seen blessing the couple.”The drama in the wedding will toll high when Naren gets one of his occasional fits and this creates quite a stir among the guests.
