this article is about a company called The Defense Advanced Research Priojects Agency who is asking anyone who can help them help make their already impressive robots even better. They've made robots that can walk, crouch, climb up stairs, and even robots that can do push ups. i found this very interesting and it relates to this class because we need to learn more about how we can use our computers to make advanced technology and make our lives just a bit easier.  

This article explains and acknowledges this week in Google. Google is improving its technology through their web browser, mobile devices, and in their social network. This is good for Google as a industry to attract more consumers to their products and this is really a step in a right direction for them improving and being recognized as one of the elite brands and companies in all fields of technology. I am happy for the success of Google and I hope they can continue to strive and do their best to satisfy their users with more faster and more efficient products delivering a high performance at every use. Also, I hope Google can continue to add and maintain a significant importance to the development and increase of their products throughout our evolving world of technology. 

This article talks about facebook for PS VIta update. The new version 1.01 has some new decent new functionality such as uploading images to your news feed, you can also tag images and enjoy any of the system languages of the device while you do so. This new update is useful because PS Vita camera is like useless when you can't upload your pics from your PS vita to facebook. I was disappointed with the facebook app for the vita because it sucks and it is pain to use but I think this will be the start to change the system of the facebook app in PS Vita. 

This article is about how youtube will be offering a 3D option for their videos. Viewers can choose whether or not they want to watch the videos in 3D. I think that its really cool what youtube is doing, and I think many people will watch their videos in 3D. However the picture quality and the 3D aspect of the video may not be very good and people will not use the 3D option. I personally am not a fan of 3D, but I think the rest of society like it and will be really excited to have 3D youtube videos.  

This article talks about a lot of jobs related to social networking and amount of salary they are paid every year. This shows the social impact of social networking on our society because social networking is a big part of our society that there are so many jobs that deal with that. In the past, there were barely any jobs related to social networking. There is a pie graph that shows all the different jobs related to social networks and how much they are paid in each province in U.S. I thinks this would be a great help to teenagers who are interested in the social network systems because now they can look for careers that they might find interesting and work toward to achieve it because not many people know about the jobs that deals with social networking and they have hard time looking for something they can do but this article could help them. 

This article gives the reader helpful information and the benefits to backing up your computer/hard drive. Without doing so, in the state of some kind of malfunction on your computer, you could be in a situation where all your files have been deleted and there is no way to get them back because there was no back up. This article appealed to me because I learned the hard way from a while back when my laptop had been infected with a virus which deleted every single program I had (even iTunes).

It relates to this course because it take in operating system to know what to do and it is on a hardware. It also needs to be programmed to work. 

this amazing app allows you to actual do a google search with a picture!  This can be used in dozens of situations of the top of my head, such as at a museum a tour or even just something cool you saw on the ride to school.  This allows us to see the world in a different way allowing us to appreciate the history and culture behind things we would ignore on a daily basis

I thought that this article was interesting because I do a lot of online gaming and weather its starcraft or Call of Duty, I always like to be able to go the best audio and surround sound to get me really into the game. This is interesting as it asks the question, should we rely on one company or organization for all our information, networking, communications and social media without giving that company too much power that they could eventually control or monitor us.

This article explains how a program created by scientists from the University at Buffalo, can allow a computer to determine whether or not a person is telling the truth in a conversation, strictly by accessing the speaker's eye movements. I found this invention extremely interesting and as I kept reading, it turns out a computer with this program was able to correctly spot various lies with 82.5% accuracy, but a trained human interrogator only manages a success rate of about 65%. Somebody who dedicated their entire life to studying human psychology and has done years of hard work and training in this subject was outsmarted by a computer who can do the same effort and work but in a better performance. These scientists really put the time and effort into creating this software to work as efficiently and be most successful as possible so just by the computer looking at your eyes, more specifically the movement pattern and the rate of your blinking, it can identify if you are telling the truth or not. This is a prime example of how technology is evolving all around us and how we are using our knowledge to further programs and devices to help and assist us perform tasks, be successful, and happy living our everyday lives. 

This game is called BrowserQuest, which is written in fully HTML5 pages. It uses CSS,HTML5 and Javascript to fully make this game. Now, software companies do not need to worry about using Flash, and can make complex games for all devices. It is a 16-bit-style and this game can work on chrome, firefox, safari etc. This game is said to be very addicting with secret items hidden in the worlds. This relates to the course because we are currently working with HTML pages and we learn how to use them. I find it fascinating that they can use these pages to make fun-filled games for everyone. As well, they need to program these pages to make them work on the web. 

When the iOS is jailbroken, there is an app, "iSleepWell", that will temporarily shut you phone down. It helps save battery life, block notifications, incoming messages, calls, etc. This app is very convenient to have if you are an especially busy person. It is a fair app to buy, at 99cent download. When in the middle of a good conversation, just starting a movie, or even going to sleep, all you have to do is flip the phone to face down and it will temporarily shut down the phone. 

This article explains how Dell, one of the largest and most successful PC makers in the world, has given up on a possible creation of their own smartphone. Dell expressed that they tried multiple times to produce a product that would be successful in the US smartphone market, but with a number of devices facing some serious bugs as well as a problem with slow speed, the company did not see positive results and they decided to trash the idea and process once and for all to focus on other opportunities. Dell is not getting out of the mobile device business altogether thanks to sales and success with devices sold in Asia and Japan, and the company will continue making low-cost phones and tablets for sale in emerging markets. With smartphones becoming a very successful and poplar device that many customers are increasingly taking an interest to, this setback has to worry or concern Dell because they are not able to compete will other huge named brands and companies in the mobile device bushiness. Dell has had it's highs and has had success over the years with products and devices, but maybe this is a wake up call that they don't have the money, resources, and high praise that more well-known companies do and this could be a huge factor to why the amount of success, more specifically in the phone industry, hasn't been enough to be a top contender in the mobile business altogether.
