Though this only applies to Mac users mainly, a new free app has been released to detect and remove a harmful trojan called Flashback. The Flashback trojan has infected half a million of Mac users already but with this app it's a simple task of clicking and waiting for the diagnosis to see if you're Mac has been infected itself. Although I am not a Mac user, I still think this is helpful for the many that are in need of removing such a virus.

While the tablet was originally supposed to be out in May, the date has been pushed back until July. Reasons being: they hope to make it more cheaper than what it was originally supposed to cost ($250). This is also because they are in competition with the Kindle Fire only costing $200. I think that this was a bold move for Google because it it makes sense that they would've seen a flop with their product because theirs would've been more expensive. While lowering the price would be beneficial for us, no one really knows if it'll be a success for them like the Kindle Fire was for Amazon.

As the title says, Twitter is suing several spamming sites that make it easier for people to spam on Twitter. These sites are in violation of "The Twitter Rules" and are being charged for doing so. While I, myself, do not use Twitter, I still understand the actions that are being put here. Spamming is definitely an annoying thing but when it comes to happening constantly, like what Twitter is facing, I find it understandable that they are taking action here.

Youtube now has a new feature to let viewers watch videos in 3D format using a pair of 3D glasses for a full on HD effect. So far there are a few videos on the site today that serve as a  beta-test for the new feature and since Youtube is constantly improving its ways to watch videos, this'll be just another new and interesting thing for us viewers to look forward to.

Google Co-Founder, Sergey Brin, has given us a demonstration to how the Google glasses would look like if we were to wear them. And honestly speaking, they don't look very appealing. In reality, these glasses will be able to let us video chat, take photos, and buy things online as we walk around.  The design to it is kind of...awkward. They look like glasses but without the lenses and the rounded sockets for them. To put it simply, they resemble headbands put on the wrong way. While the idea and functions the glasses serve may seem appealing at first glance, I doubt that anyone would want to get these. I mean really, would you want to be walking around the streets sporting these glasses?

Have you ever had the urge to use a computer or phone late into the night? I know I have (many times). Well, the truth is that staring at the screen for a while on these devices can actually kill your sleep cycle. Well, nowadays, most people don't use the website Grooveshark as much anyway (there are just a couple of people that I know of that still use the site). But this support from the music EMI is going to be a big loss for them because they are going to have to remove any original recordings provided by the company. This totals to about four major record labels dropping out, plus all of them are suing Grooveshark. It's not a very good thing, is all I have to say. 

For two hours today, March 27th 2012, Google shut down their Gmail feature. This prevented anyone from accessing their emails when they signed in (the message: "Tremble before Google! With the mere flip of a switch, we can bring you to your knees." was what was shown if you tried to sign in). This affected many gmail users from accessing their emails into frustration because this was just an unnecessary way of google showing us how "powerful" they've become over the internet. 

As the title of the article says, Harry Potter is now available to read on e-books for those that are interested. Since e-books are being advertised quite often on TV and in the media, it is understandable that the Harry Potter series should go on e-book as well. On a personal level, I would rather stick to the paperback and hardcover books instead of the e-book versions because, while it is definitely saving trees needed to make the books in stores, I've definitely become accustomed to having a book preference instead of a digital one since that is the way I've always seen it.

As the title states, hacking will soon be a top threat over terrorists. Hacking is a big deal because the people who do hack are able to take data - especially important data - from their sources and use it for their own benefit. For businesses, this is highly critical because just like that, any ideas you may have stored on computers could be gone and in the hands of others. Also, hacking might not be just for stealing data but also inputting viruses into other computers. In the US, two bills are being set to beef up the security of government networks to be protected from any cyber attacks. 

These hackers have stolen a lot from NASA such as access codes to over 150 NASA employees and causing significant disruption to mission operations. This just goes to show that big important companies like NASA aren't as secure with their stuff if people are able to hack into their computers.  These intrusions were discovered to be hackers working through China-based IP addresses. This worries me as to how easily people are able to hack because if they are able to bypass even NASA's computers then they could also hack into other places just as easily.

One of the many annoyances a lot of us have to put up with every now and then (I know I do, ALL THE TIME) has a very useful solution. This article is interesting to me because it tells how scientists have discovered a way to decode DNA chips using biological computers. The DNA chips contain images/info that are "hidden" in the chips, so to say, and are not able to be seen unless they are decoded by these computers. I think that this would be helpful for many people (not only scientists) because it can be useful for keeping important information stored for personal use granted that they have the right equipment to decrypt the chips first.
