This site gave a fantastic explanation of balance in web design. I actually think I got more from reading this than I did reading the text book. I loved the visual examples that this gave. Definitely a good read.

After having read the first two chapters of the Designed Fundamentals for New Media book and the other required readings, I feel I was better equipped in regards to being able to identify the different methods of communication present, and understand why the author of the article referred to Obama's rhetoric as "predictable."

This funny video describes "new media" as read in the book readings for the week. It gives examples of new media and defines new media. It is a funny video that keeps your interest to better understand "new media".

After reading this weeks assignments I was still a little confused on the study of semiotics, I bookmarked this site because it gives examples as well as links to words they use to explain the definition. This site was very helpful in understanding the study of semiotics. I also made this one my favorite as semiotics was the root of our reading assignment this week.

Must understand that the goal is for it to be read. The headline of a copywriting design is important.

If you are having trouble, then of course someone else will as well. It also tells you to keep titles big that way people can identify what the title is. This site gives information on the copy right law, I found this site to be helpful this week based on Chapter 21 reading as well as we already started on our first project and with editing pictures it is important that we comply to the copyright laws. I also made this my favorite as it is important for our project.

Remediation is used in music to refashion live versions of media. The live version is recreated and multiplied, creating a studio and synthesized final version of the product.

This website provided a great run down on the book Remediation and the theory behind it. It was a great supplement to the reading and really helped me further my understanding of it. Remediation is something that is constantly going on around us, and is very important to understand. It is the driving force for the progress of our media.

This is an article discussing the idea of remediation and the two concepts of remediation. It is an easy explanation of the excerpt from the book that we had to read.

This website goes over ethos, pathos, and logos. It helps me understand the readings better because it gives several examples of each concept. Ethos is ethical appeal that the author uses. Pathos is when the author trying to appeal to the readers emotions. Logos is the logic portion of writing that will begin to make sense to the reader.

A tutorial that discusses line art and designs. I found it helpful because it is neat to see the lines being created and used after we have read about their functions and meanings.
