Every week it never fails, any site with more visual examples of the design element is the easiest and sometimes quickest way for to fully grasp the concept of it.
I thought this little blog was very useful for understanding rule of thirds as it applies to photography. I was already familiar with the rule from my photography class in high school and I find it is easier to understand in that context as opposed to the digital drawing arena. Basically, because I understand it in the photography context, it allows me to better understand it the way it has been presented in the text.
I wanted to find another site with a more in depth explanation and found one with totally new elements that can be used to improve layout and design. Most of these examples I have never heard of besides focal point and grid design, but you can never know too many new ways in order to improve your delivery, right?

I love this statistics format because it provides amazing facts that don't take much time for me to read and comprehend. This helped me to better understand where technology was, is, and where it's going. This also helped me understand some more facts about new media while keeping my full attention
