I love the New York Times, again this article is very imformative, it give information on illegal immigration. Somethings the article talks about is Mexican Immigration has declined, and if a illegal is caught speeding should they deported and a little bit about the background of illegal immigration.

The New Times really points out some great facts in this article. They show that immigration is a important issue that is going on with the U.S. today. It also shows how different things can be for immigrants depending on who is the new elected president. Polygamy is a battle of both religion and rights for both types of people who are for or against polygamy. The author states the history behind the laws against polygamy as well as the battle between Reynolds and the US for it to be allowed due to the religious beliefs of Mormons. Reynolds was convicted and charged for polygamy, which in turn, ended it everywhere in the US; especially in Utah. Several times, the Reynolds Law has been challenged, but those who have challenged the law have failed.

This is one of the largest growing controversies in the United States. We have a lot of stubborn and close-minded people in this great nation. We all just need to open our hearts a little and accept these people and try to realize where they are coming from. They just want to be able to be happy like anyone would; and be able to marry the one that they love. People say it goes against tradition, and what marriage is valued as...between a man & woman. There are so many traditions that have been changed or forgotten in this day and age, and I am sure that letting these people marry who they want and where they want, isn't going to lead to something horrible. I think that some of us just need to really be educated and try to feel for these people who just want the opportunity to solidify their love for one another with Marraige.

This is a great little article showing how important freedom of speech is. It shows how without have our freedom of speech people couldn't fight for all their other freedoms. 

This article states that the death penalty cannot comply to the constitution. It states that 2/3 of those sentenced to death since 1976 have been in five southern states, where racial bias still exists. It also states that 17 innocent people, on death row, were released based on DNA evidence, and another 112 released based on other evidence.

Based off of statistics the issue is not whether or not sex education is appropriate in schools, but what kind of sex education should be taught. A portion of parents prefer that schools only teach their children strictly about abstinence. Other parents prefer that the school teach a program referred to as "abstinence-plus", which educates students on birth control and abstinence.

The long constant debate about sex education in schools has come to a halt. For the most part students, parents, and principals are satisfied with the topics being taught, however a low percent think only certain topics should be discussed.
