This research article provides an overview of how transformative learning experiences can be created through instructional design. The aim is to use instruction to make learning more experiential, personally relevant and transformative to students. The authors explain a framework for providing transformative learning experiences, including several indicators that fall into the categories of developing personal meaning, competence with the subject and relationships. The authors also present guidelines for designing these experiences, including applying design fundamentals, crafting the learning experience and teaching and facilitating to inspire learning.

This is the Teaching Channel's website filled with educator resources. I have found several Science lab ideas from this site. Many resources are standards based and grounded in STEM research, but there are resources for all subject areas. There are also videos available that show lessons in practice.
Using the iPad in the classroom - this article discusses History specifically, but could definitely be modified for any subject. Also, provides links for digital textbooks, which are most likely the wave of the future classroom.

Brain Pop is a wonderful website for all grades and ages. This website offers great games and interactive lesson activities in all content areas. Students really enjoy this website.

This is an animated site for kids. Sight contains information in all subject areas. There is a fee to use all of the site but they provide some free material as well. I like the clear explanations they have on the topics.
This is an awesome website with short (and free!) videos to help teach all types of math from 1st - college and some higher level sciences. It's great for those days when the kids don't want to listen to your voice anymore.
The site provides a Dewey Decimal Search for kids where they are able to click on an area and the find links related to the particular subject they are looking for. This could be helpful for a Media teacher to incorporate into his/her class.
HOME KidsClick! is a web search site designed for kids by librarians - with kid-friendly results!
This site is easy to use for kids and teachers. It has a wealth of information for nearly every subject in easy to understand concepts and terms.
Kids.gov is an amazing site! My 1st graders use this site when researching states for their state reports. So easy to use and a wealth of resources.

Great site with resources for teacher with lesson plans, helpful websites, and activities and worksheets. Also has pages for kids and teenagers with links to different subjects and sites pertaining to those subjects.
Provides a safe place for students to learn that is divided based on age group. It provides art, music, math, science lessons, and more. It also has an area for teachers to find lesson plans and for parents to learn how to help their children learn.
