What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of gamifying a course? Points? Badges? Scores? Levels? While all of this can be added in a course, it is not until you include a leaderboard that the gamification experience feels 'complete'.

How Continuous Employee Learning Helps Boost Performance - 1 views

  •
How Continuous Employee Learning Helps Boost Performance Until relatively recently, company training was seen as nothing else than a one-time event: employees went to a course, learned something, and then returned to their daily tasks where everything came back to normal. However, in present days, more and more companies are striving to establish a continuous learning system, one in which both workers and managers take part in regularly. By comparison, with the old time-limited training, this type of learning continues over the long-term, long after the classroom sessions have completed. http://elearningindustry.com/how-continuous-employee-learning-helps-boost-performance

Feedback from Instructional Designers wanted!!! - 0 views

Feedback for Instructional Design experts wanted! Looking for feedback from those who want to impact the field of instructional design! Contribute 15 minutes to an online survey on Instructional Design, Online Quality, and Technology Practice today! Looking for novice to expert Instructional Designers with online experience. My name is Eric Bose, an instructional design technology practitioner and a PhD learner at Capella University in the Instructional Design for Online Learning specialization. I am working on my dissertation that examines the potential relationships between practiced instructional competencies, technological abilities, and quality standards of online learning. I want to hear from you how technology and media have impacted your practice. You do not have to be an expert instructional designer, technology, or quality standards, but should have practiced instructional design in the online space at some point. The hope is to understand where relationships may exist between the practice of competencies, technology, and quality amongst instructional designers and I need your help to get us there. I am actively seeking participants for this research study and this should only take about 15 minutes to complete.

eLearning Authoring Revisited - Learning Objectives and Adaptive eLearning Many eLearning courses are like a PowerPoint; click the page and move ahead. These are linear courses that measure progress based on screens viewed, and upon completion report a pass or fail to the Learning Management System. But you don't have to settle for this anymore! http://elearningindustry.com/elearning-authoring-revisited
