Google now is worth installing on iPad and iPHones and you can get it even if you don't have a Droid phone. There are privacy concerns so I wouldn't do this with students. Educate yourself but you might just get a handy personal assistant.

This looks like a very cool English game that uses all kinds of shows to teach. Thinking that ESL teachers will want to test this one out. These guys are so incredibly cute. We've been trying out the Organ Wise material in our elementary PE program and I just love their message on taking care of yourself. As we know from books like "Brain Rules" the brain is an organ connected to the rest of the body and directly influenced by physical health. You might want to take a look at this program to use with elementary PE. Just as cute as it can be. Our kids love "Sir Rebrum." Cute.

Exceptional post about why global collaborative projects are important

This student has written an exceptional post-project reflection. I hope you'll take time to read it. Here is an excerpt: "There is no doubt that this technology is dangerous. It is apparent that few people, not adults, not teenagers, truly understand how collaboration, conduct, and manners affect the internet. This project has to teach others that as well. It is necessary to know how to handle yourself on the internet. That's why Horizon Project is so important. We have to educate tomorrow's leaders how to use new technology without abusing it. The highlight of this project is the education we are giving every single person who has been a part of the Horizon Project."

Yet another district technology director giving the rest of us a bad name. Good grief....justify yourself without using the paranoid buzzphrase, "To Protect the Children!"
