This guide is from Dr. Louisa C. Moats and the International Dyslexia Association. It bridges research into practice to create a "research-based tool for practitioners." These are the standards used by the IDI to guide teachers of reading, spelling, and writing.
ResearchBlogging.orgI think there is a lot of potential for use of wikis in classrooms, particularly in the area of collaborative writing. There are a number of articles out there extolling the possible virtues of the tool. However, I also think it is important to look at potential pitfalls so they can (hopefully) be addressed during implementation. Here are five areas of caution that peer-reviewed articles have suggested:

I like the ndividual student research blog -accessable to anyone and a tool for tracking students and the wiki also showing group contributions by individuals for all to see. The conversation re video engaging other aspects that writing may not is potent and portent no doubt.
