"The web is rich with resources that can inspire and support our teaching; however, navigating the web can be akin to swimming around an endless abyss." The goal of this collection of websites is to give teachers quick access to pages and info that can make them stronger teachers.

The six top free online tools were selected from available web 2.0 tools for teaching and learning using presentations, blogging, and bookmarking online resources. There are many excellent online tools available in these three categories, making the selection difficult at best. However, the selection was made based on reviewing available online resources along with other contributions and feedback from teachers.

"A free resource to help teachers and students to gain a deeper understanding of how the body works has been launched by The Physiological Society in partnership with the University of Liverpool. The resource, a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), has been specifically designed to support the A-level Biology curriculum, with a focus on the respiratory, cardiovascular and nervous systems."

Tons of interactive white board resources - FREE ONES from @Tesconnect - I'm sending all of these to our kindergarten teachers. Lots of great free stuff. TES is in the UK so sometimes the terms are different but great resources.

Free online resources for teachers of high quality vetted learning materials. It is searchable without an account. Register to be updated a out categories of resources of interest to you. It is currently BETA, but it still has loads of useful resouces.

Just got this note from my friend Jeff Stanzler at U Michigan. This looks very cool and is a website dedicated to flipping physics, algebra, and calculus. Lots of great videos and resources. The note from Jeff to me about this site and his student: " I wanted to share the work of a former student of mine named Jon Palmer, a Physics teacher who has done some wonderfully creative work "flipping" his classroom. He's now devoting himself to making videos for free use by Physics teachers everywhere. Knowing you, I figured you might appreciate his work. Here's an intro video about his vision of the flipped classroom model. Here's a link to his you tube channel, with more goodies."

Interesting resources for whiteboards including word magnets. It is adobe air powered and has a ton of resources included in it.

lots of stuff for teachers

I share on this site but it is a great place to find resources. It is the largest network of English speaking teachers in the world and they are launching in the US this year. When I saw this, I thought some of you on break might like to share. I like the site because the resources are free and it is curated.

Downloadable video "weather around the world" filmed in 5 different climactic regions. This includes multiple lesson plans and downloadable videos - all for free. (Another @TEsconnect resource)

If you're looking for free resources for Science,English,Math,and Social Studies to add some interest during December, this page from Discover;y has lots of great things separated by grade level including lesson plans and "learning adventures."
