Wikis/Wikispace is a website that allows groups, individuals, etc. to create web pages on their preferences. Members are invited to groups. Also the web pages can be public or private. Wikispace is a great website because I can create a page to upload a survey/questionnaire to determine the knowledge of the participants. Also A chat session/blog will be created so the learners can receive feedback on their questions.

Wikispaces is an excellent platform for providing information to individuals and groups. I have used this resource for many years and prefer the simple layout and navigational tools. Information can be linked, downloaded and posted to provide synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities. Active discussions, or interactions can also be monitored.

Assignment 3 Wikispaces provides sharing and feedback of pre-training requirements. The creation of a wiki for pre-training material promotes essential learning by allowing learners to engage with key elements of the workshop and build retention of fundamental skills. I prefer wikispaces due to the cost effectiveness and technical ease of the software as well as faithful tech support.

Allows users to create simple web pages and allow public access and rights to edit pages together. This site is free and easy to use. It does not require participants to have a login to view.

Because my workshop is about Using Wikis in Education, the authentic assessment for my workshop participants will be to create a wiki for their professional/classroom use. Wikispaces will be used to house my own presentation so it will serve as an exemplar for what they are expected to produce. By creating their own wikis, participants will demonstrate generative learning because they will need to organize and apply their learning to create their own authentic project utilizing a rubric. I chose this site because it is user friendly and produces an attractive product. Additionally, Wikispaces has excellent video tutorials to demonstrate how to use the site.

Wikispaces allows users to create pages for sharing. The user can present to many individuals without having to leave the house. It creates an online setting where users can participate in online learning with each other. Students may work together in teams on pages within the Wiki. It is an effective tool because of the ability to post work in an organized manner.

Wikispaces is a free resource that allows you to create online presentations. I like this resource because it is free, easy to use, and it create professional looking presentations in a website form.

This website was chosen to demonstrate the usefulness of wikis in the classroom. This website is learner-centered where, "the focus is on using multimedia technology to aid to human cognition." (Mayer, 2009, p. 13) Using this website, workshop participants can see how easy it is to create a wiki page for them and for their students to create. Mayer considers behavioral activity to be hands-on. Since this website will be used for hands -on activity, creating a wikispace, this website should be considered behavioral.

Wikispaces is a great way to showcase a student's work in progress or the finished product. Students can insert a link to their completed ActivInspire flipcharts for everyone to see. Free and easy to use.

Wikispaces is a great online collaboration tool to use for authentic assessment activities. Wikispaces allows the learner to integrate the material in various ways as Wikispaces will allow embedding of presentations, videos, animations, virtually anything that can be embedded can be put into Wikispaces.

Allows users to create a multitude of shared products from lessons to discussion forums with embedded audio or video if desired. Free to use, easy to navigate, ability to produce multiple pages, and can share pages with virtually anyone with Internet access.

This site allows users to host free wiki that can be public or private. This is a great service for students and teachers. It is easy to use (compared to other wiki sites) and it allows the publisher to have a lot of control of content, editing and privacy. Students could use this to create a large graphic organizer that they could all participate in editing.

I have used a number of different wiki sites but find Wikispaces the most user friendly and intuitive one - great qualities from a user perspective. They also offer timely support if needed. I would highly recommend it.

Wikispaces is an online wiki hosting site. Users can collaborate to create a variety of products using a variety of media including text, pictures, links, and videos. Teachers can create teams to collaborate on authentic projects. The wiki is not what makes the assessment authentic, it is what the teacher and learners do with the wiki that allows it to provide an authentic learning experience. Wikispaces is a great site to create wikis because it is intuitive and easy to use. It tracks each change and allows members to view previous edits, and restore old versions, if needed. Wikispaces can promote generative processing by providing a space and opportunity for learners to integrate the content into an authentic product. It is better than other similar sites because it provides so many options and features for contributors, but it is still user friendly.

In wikispaces, users can set up their own pages and work collaboratively with other users. Wikis can hold files, media and can contain links to other areas.

Through YouTube you can share with your participants examples of work they they will be creating. YouTube is one of the better choices for watching movies since it has the largest collection of videos online. There are many other video websites available on the Internet, but YouTube is the most popular. Showing videos from YouTube is an example of essential learning since you are showing the participants what is essential to a good digital story.

You Tube- This website allows a presenter to create a video or power point and upload it to the Internet for anyone to view. Most videos are simple to upload though uploading power points are a bit more tricky. This video sharing site allows the presentor to share information that is necessary for the course participants to know before the course begins. I like this as a pretraining site because it is easy to access in most locations. However most K-12 educational facilities block this site due to some inappropraite submissions. Course participants must make sure that they are able to access You Tube prior to the beginning of the course.

YouTube is a wonderful tool to use in creating presentations. It is also very helpful in finding other presentations, demonstrations, and tutorials. I think teachers would benefit from the many demonstrations and examples of Student Response Systems being used during my workshop. YouTube is very easy to navigate and easy to upload ones own videos.

This site is a great tool for uploading and sharing videos. Youtube is industry standard for video sharing. It is reliable, offers multiple formats uploads and offers privacy. I would recommend that teachers use this site to upload final dance video projects or use Just Dance videos on the site to have student analyze other dancers. I would not recommend comments unless the user approved them first.

Youtube allows trainers to post pre-training video clips to introduce learners to ideas and information that they need to know before the actual training occurs. The site gives the trainer a location to post videos then allows the trainees to view the information at their own pace.

YouTube is a great pre-training tool for learners to do a little research about their upcoming topic. However, it may be best to send out the links to learners in advance so they are not overloaded or misinformed. This site has proven to be a great place for the discerning learner to find valuable "how-to" advice and instructions. I fixed my automatic sliding door on the family minivan for free the other day!

YouTube is a multimedia website that houses videos. Videos on this site can be viewed and shared through emailing links or embedding videos into blogs, wikis, or websites. It is extremely easy to navigate and search for videos on any content. Home made videos can also be easily uploaded and shared in minutes. 

YouTube is the choice again, but this time for assessment purposes. YouTube is the most popular of the hosting sites and is the one student's are currently most familiar with. After a video has been developed, edited, and stored in a computer, YouTube offers a place to store your video online. Along with this, it automatically delivers an embedding code for the creators to embed into a movie widget of the presentation venue chosen for disclosure which is essential for evaluation. Furthermore, video in these online presentation venues work for generative learning by allowing for comments and more multimedia by connecting to other relevant knowledge.

YouTube and TeacherTube both house produced videos ready for embedding into various multimedia venues. They have search options for locating promotion and how-to videos that can certainly be used for essential and generative learning. The primary difference is that TeacherTube is meant for educational professionals. Capabilities are to spark initial interest with promotional video(s) and to complete necessary account logistics for pre-training to practical use. A free account can be set-up by anyone.

This website can be used to show examples of what the expectations are in the presentation.

This site allows the user to create a slide show presetnation from anywhere without having to use PowerPoint. The only thing needed is a web browser and this is compatible with IE 7, Firfox and Camino. What I liked best about this site is its ease of use and that all members can work on the same presentation at the same time. Also, there is no limit to the number or length of the presentation. You even have 250MB to store photos.

What it does: It is a simplified version of Power Point allowing a user to create slides. Why this one: It is free and easy to use. It is also web-based so that teachers do not need to copy it into folders, files, or CDs. The recurring theme that I have tried to maintain is the need for simplicity and efficient use of time. Creating multimedia presentations are but a small fraction of the enormous number of jobs a teacher must complete. This application, while more limited than Power Point, does allow teachers to complete a project in less time. Learning benefits: Teachers can quickly create a number of messages for essential learning using this package. As well, they can incorporate mind maps, graphic organizers, or other tools to expand the learning process into generative thinking.

The programs allows users to have unlimited online collaboration. Generative thinking supported through mind maps and graphic organizers.\n

PreZentIt is a free presentation, web-based program for creating, editing and presenting images and text. This seems almost the same as creating a powerpoint presentation, except it allows multiple user editing simultaneously, and is on the cloud, so isn't 'stuck" on a computer, when you need it in another location.
