    Jing is a screencasting computer program which takes a picture of a computer screen and instantly provides it a URL and is uploaded to the web. It can then be shared instantly between collaborators. Jing offers capture, history, and more in the little transparent "sun" at the top of the screen. A free account can be set-up and software can be downloaded. This will provide the live presenter with opportunities for anytime essential screenshots for projection during the workshop. The screenshot will generate inquiry into the software programs.

It can be used in the classroom as a teaching tool or with the students.     Prezi is a combination of a graphic organizer and a presentation tool. It allows the user to incorporate video, pictures and text into the presentation. The program allows the user to create a presentation that is semi-linear in fashion. Prezi is free and allows the user to store the presentation on their servers, thereby eliminating the need for the user to have access to the same computer.

    * Prezi provides an innovative method of creating presentations based on building concepts rather than based on slides. This site is extremely good for showing connections between concepts and stories. It is embeddable and well suited for use in web based presentations. Slide based presentation tools like Slideshare and Google Presentation are merely adaptations of mid 20th century slide projectors.

    Prezi allows a presenter to make an online presentation similar to the standard PowerPoint, but with much more interest and relationship. The movement of the presentation is within words and photos using a zoom in or fly-over effect. Effective presentations can be created to show relationship. Additionally, using the tool with students does not require that they have the software at home to work outside of class (just a side note).

    This website allows you to create custom graphic organizers online, and was created by the same company that makes the popular Inspiration graphic organizer software. It is user friendly, and is better than many programs because it allows you to share your work via links, or invite members to edit your work.

    The more I use this website, the more I am impressed with what I can do. It's ability to insert hyperlinks to the bubbles in the organizers encouraged me to use it in the pre-training module of my workshop. In the general case, it can be used in all the modules. The ability to script an outline and have the software generate the organizer is convenient and time-saving.

    This site will allow students organize information by building a mind map of specific content. With the mind map, students create a quick view chart or graph which, along with a transcript which will place the information in a outline for ease of studying. The lesson plan will help the student use content information to extract specific concepts to create a snapshot of how information is connected to a specific idea. This activity can be done independently and shared with classmates for input. In addition, the students will rely on their cognitive ability to develop the mind map.

    Webspiration is a Web 2.0 tool that helps you create an online web (similar to the old Inspiration). You can organize your ideas and be creative at the same time. Your Webspiration product can even be embedded in a webpage or blog. Easy to use. Familiar to those who've used Inspiration or Kidspiration in the past.

This site can be use for generative learning the organizer will give participants an overview of the main concepts and allow them to construct new knowledge. I selected this sit because it is user friendly. It also has sample organizers that you can use.

    Webspiration http://www.mywebspiration.com/ This site allows users to create a mind map using various different fonts and templates. Webspiration allows for generative learning becasue the participants would be actively involved with the creation. I like this site becasue it is free. The webs can be embedded into blogs and the webs can be worked on collaboratively in a group. I plan to use some collaborative grouping during my presentation. Participants can also view the visual in an outline form for easier construction of the web.

    Webspiration is an interactive web-based graphic organizer generator. It is a wonderful way to create graphic organizers that can also be used during presentations. It is easy to use and allows teachers to hyperlink out to other sites to help students understand concepts better. The best part about Webspiration is that it allows groups/individuals to work collaboratively and share their ideas.

    Online version of Inspiration mind-mapping software. Site is at the generative level of cognitive processing, as users can apply the tool in the creation of an endless variety of graphic organizers for any purpose. The site includes instructional tips and samples. It allows for high levels of customization or really simple, automated creation, perfect for new users.

    authorSTREAM is an online tool that will convert timed or narrated PowerPoint presentations to video and retain most settings applied to the original slide show. Also, the videos can be downloaded or posted to various locations online and linked to via blogs, wikis, and other Web sites. Learners can benefit from the variety of features offered such as retaining transitions and special effects to capture attention and the use of video and narration adheres to dual coding principles. By combining those features, complex material can be presented in a manner that assists learners generative cognitive load. I found this tool to be better than others given its simplicity and the fact that it retains transitions and animations. The overall quality of the output is quite good also and the use of the tool is fairly straight forward.

    Like most online tools, authorStream gives you the ability to upload your PowerPoint presentations to unique URLs for collaboration with your fellow classmates.     authorSTREAM - authorSTREAM is a wonderful site that converts power points to share giving each presentation a unique URL that can be accessed via the internet. These presentations can be sent via email, or embedded in websites or blogs. After the presentation has been converted to video it can then be upload to sites such as You Tube. This site also allows presentations to be viewed live with the ability to discuss it live also. Most importantly to me, it is free.

    Authorstream is the hosting site for uploading and storage of PowerPoint (PPT) presentations. Participants can then download these presentations as video for editing into one seamless presentation of a mixture of PPT and video for uploading to YouTube or other video hosting site. This is initially a free site for users, but you will find it soon necessary to pay the annual Authorstream Pro fee of 30 dollars or $2.50 a month that is, if you want to convert PPT presentations to video formatting. Authorstream offers other significant options in the Pro package that helps you do plenty more with your PPT creations. This is the best suited site for supporting Microsoft PPT for it is user friendly and quite common.

    Like Google Presenter, Authorstream allows users to upload and share presentations. This can be used by instructors to assess student integration and generative learning. Authorstream allows users a public space for broad distribution and visibility of their shared presentation. This is important for students as they prepare to leave academia and enter the professional world. In addition, students can easily embed and share their presentations in blogs and other social media. Finally, Authorstream more easily integrates audio and animation when compared to other online presenting formats.

    This program is free to download and use to create tutorials that can be created for a specific presentation. It allows the user to capture screen shots and add sound, explanations etc. to the tutorial. By using a tutorial that is created specifically for this workshop, participants will be able to follow along and produce the desired outcome. Also, if the tutorial is uploaded to a wiki page, participants can access the site to review at a later date.

    This is the site to download the free version of Jing. You can also purchase the professional version. This tool will be used to create how to videos and real time screen sharing. When learners see step by step processes in real time, it helps to reinforce the concepts and increases memory. These videos can also be shared via HTML and as downloads. Because the HTML codes are easy (cut and paste) and the loading of the presentation (click play), learners will not have to have high tech skills to access the videos and they have the oprion to save them and revisit them.

In addition, users can create technology tutorials for their students, and collaborative projects among the users through video.\nWhy this one: The Jing program allows the presenter to share screen shots of documents and tutorials on the computer screen without having the actual documents in hand.     Brief description of what it allows you to do and how it can be used for essential or generative learning: Jing is awesome!! Jing allows you to quickly take screenshots or record short videos. If one is intending participants to have something set-up before the presentation, record a Jing and save the file or easily share the file using sites like screencast.com. Jing allows audience members to be prepared for the speaker. Brief explanation of why you found this site to be better than others you found (e.g., more effective, creates better products, easier to use, and so on): Easy to use! You can also pause the recording while making it as well as mute. Screencast.com allows for quick sharing in multiple forms.
