A great chrome web app. Easy mind mapping tool that allows you to save to the cloud using google account. Available on Android too. Worth a look if your school has Chrome installed.

But perhaps the rarest thing about Digi-Comp is the combination of hands-on and minds-on fun it affords. It definitely still has things to teach*, like Boolean logic and problem-solving... and it's rewarding to build and use. That's why Minds-On Toys decided to reintroduce it in an affordable kit format, with a thorough and professional revamp of the original documentation.

Just ordered myself one of these for christmas, an elastic-band powered computer that comes as a DIY kit. I can hardly wait to turn up.

Fantastic use friendly site for creating mind maps of images / information online. Works almost in fairly similar way to prezi. Very easy to learn. Free sign up. Collaborate on mind maps with other people. You can select to be emailed daily, weekly or monthly changes to the popplet. Think you only have 5 free 'popplets' though :(

I started to collect a Google+ circle of women-only (aptly named 'Women of G+') and the idea of connecting with early adopter women in a new social networking platform is growing larger in my mind by the minute. I find it stimulating and refreshing to have a list of highly intelligent women on G+ to read every morning over coffee. Thanks for letting me take a peek into your brilliant minds.

This looks like a pretty good mindmapping tool.  I am not a huge fan of digital mind mapping but this looks the goods.

Mural.ly is a new tool (still in beta, launched last week) that is a cross between Prezi and mind maps. It's easy to use and share what you create (perfect for most students, teachers, and parents) but the real beauty of mural.ly is in its lack of structure.
