This website is about gender inequality especially towards women. It shows how women are treated in certain areas and how negative it is towards girls. It states how men have better choices and women don't really get a choice. Inequality is a big problem and many people don't see it, and it aims towards women and how they still to this day don't have equality.

The cornerstone of freedom is the 2nd amendment right. Are you about to loose it?
  •
This site reports news and information to inform individuals of any threats to their Second Amendment right. It is sponsored by the NRA and there are links of articles and stories anti-gun control.
  •
In 2009, at the behest of the Obama administration, the United States joined 152 other countries in endorsing a U.N. Arms Trade Treaty Resolution. The resolution establishes an international conference to be held next year, at which leaders from countries around the world-many of which have deplorable human rights records-will draw up an international treaty designed to severely restrict or even outright ban your right to sell, purchase, carry or own a firearm. Just two years ago, NRA fought a push to consider a 1997 Organization of American States gun control treaty in the Senate.

Internet Censorship in China - Breaking World Internet Censorship News - The New York T... - 0 views

  •
Article discusses the Chinese government blocking web sites that it deems to be 'politically sensitive'. Web sites about the revolts against the government in other countries are blocked and have lead to more limits on internet searches. Other sites that are critical of government officials have also blocked and negative comments about them are deleted. The Chinese government now requires internet service providers to obtain their customers real names in an effort to cut internet anonymity.

Definitely a common thing I've seen in the fitness industry. People can sometimes get so wrapped up in trying to be lean and fit that they go about it in the wrong ways. They literally workout to the point of exhaustion and then barely refuel their bodies with the necessary nutrients. Which causes more harm than good.
  •
Eating disorders are a tragedy, and a sickness. It is definitely evident in this country, more so than where I come form in Canada, as image is more important in America according to studies, appearance can take someone further than education, which is truly sad. Which leads to more people being self conscious, and more eating disorders.
  •
Eating disorders affect a great deal of American teenagers and young adults, and a big reason is because society sets standards as to what a male or female's ideal body should look like. Rather than trying to live up to society's standards, people should try to live up to a standard of health for their own bodies.
  •
This social issue has been around for many years and it is still a huge issue in the world. I like this article due to the fact that it gives you information on the disorders such as treatments, signs and statistics. All people should be educated on the subject.
  •
I think that this situation is sort of a "hush hush" situation so I think it is great that people are talking out about it. If more people talk about it, then maybe people that are suffering from situations like this can be open about it and about getting help. I also think that people opening up about it, will open up societies eyes and realize that people are suffering from this mostly because of the pressure people have to look how society wants.
  •
People are so wrapped up on having the perfect body that they fail to realize their hurting themselves. Eating disorders are very tragic, but are also very common these days. We start to think that just because one plan worked for someone else it will work for everyone. The truth is, everyone's body is different and reacts differently too.

Mad about Brock Turner's sentence? It's not uncommon - 0 views

  •
Many of us have heard about the Brock Turner case and a lot of people aren't happy about the outcome of it. Yes, he was sent to jail, but he raped a woman and the majority of people believe that he didn't get the time in prison (he didn't even go to prison) that he deserved. He was just recently sent home from jail. This article advised that in the past college athletes have committed crimes and were not given the right punishment for them. It also talks about Turner being classified as a sex offender possibly being worse than sending him to prison, which is actually a good point.
  •
This is such a horrible case. It shows you how money and athletes can get away with things.

Bottled Water - Consumer Reports - 3 views

Consumer information and definition about different types of bottle water, and where they come from. Educates consumer, so they can make informed decisions.

This article was very informational on the different types of bottled water. Many people don't take the time to actually educate themselves on the differences. It's very helpful to know what kind of filtration and the process each water company goes through.
  •
I didn't even know this was an issue so this has really got me thinking and pretty freaked out so thank you I guess.
  •
I like how Consumer Reports breaks it down for you. I've heard of this issue before, but with so many labels I'm never quite sure what they all mean. It's also a shame that we can't trust our local water supply to provide us adequate drinking water without all of the chemicals.
  •
Wow! Thats interesting. I always wondered what the difference was between spring water and purified. I like that it showed the information in a chart whether than a long paragraph to read.
  •
The article is short and to the point. Like myself, I believe that there are numerous people who are unaware of where their water comes from. I would have liked the article to include information on the types of materials or plastic used to bottle our water as well.
