This article explains how children in lower-class families in Moldova have a very low opportunity to participate in early education. The author talks about how this can be a disadvantage for their future.

This article was somewhat heart breaking to read. It talks about the differences in attendance of children in Moldova between early education and secondary education. Many of the children are not passing the exams when reaching the secondary education, thus some tend to drop out or many do not even attend at all.

Lower-class families are having this problem everywhere and its a problem that needs to be fixed because it damages the future of these students and their possible careers.

This website is about Arizona teachers protesting for more funding for their school districts. People who have participated in this protest wear red and walk the streets. Teachers refuse to go to class until they have got their point across.

I was on my mission when this protest occurred, but I remember hearing about it. I think it's important for people to be paid what they deserve.

It really is sad that it took such a huge movement of teachers risking their jobs to get the point that schools need more funding across. You would think that teachers would be paid fairly since they impact a students future the most.

A study exhibiting the rate of mortality in the public and how income inequality, trust between social classes, etc, cause a shift in the respective populations. It was found in the conclusion that enough evidence supported the hypothesis to be true that the previously mentioned factors DID lower mortality rate in lower socioeconomic populations.

The lack of student motivation has become a bigger problem during the pandemic. The online courses have affected students as they are unable to get the same face-to-face classes. The curriculum seems harder for students at home to keep up with.

Additionally, children from low-income families were much less likely to be on track in areas such as physical development, social/emotional growth, and school engagement. The report noted a distinct relation between family education and earnings. According to the data collected from families of children under the age of 8, half of the families who earned a higher income had a head of household with at least a 4-year college degree. In contrast, the head of household in the majority of low-income families had at best a high school diploma.

This is such a shame, and I am sure this is very frustrating for both parents and teachers. I really enjoyed helping in my daughters' classes but did see firsthand students who were struggling. Funding for education is not where it should be so classes don't have aides and assistants to spend extra time working with kids who need additional help.

Prayer has been a topic of some controversy with the public school systems in America for over 50 years, it has been federally banned other than silent prayers, and in some states it has been banned all together. This is a disgusting violation of Americans first amendment right, as well as our inalienable rights as human of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, for some prayer is a pursuit of happiness. To ban ones ability to pray in school, while they are being taught as if God were not real, is a outrageous violation of the rights of not just Christians, but Islamic folk, and people of Jewish decent. Prayer offers peace, and a hope for salvation, and a denial of such ability in a place where most students attend is an outrageous violation of our rights as humans, and as Americans.

I am on the fence with this topic. I think that all Americans should have the right to pray in school but on the other hand I feel that it may be disrespectful to the third party. This is a tough topic for all people weather they are religious or not.

America is the land of opportunity and freedom. We have the freedom to follow any religion. I think that banning prayer in schools is something that takes away from that right. If it's pray is part of the religion, why is it frowned upon and seen as disrespectful? Our country should respect and go for what it stands for.

I found this article to be my favorite, in the article it lists 20 life skills not taught in school, from communication and thinking to learning how to build credit and get insurance. This made me really think how I didn't learn any of those skills that I use everyday now when I was in school. It even talks about how the bible, cooking, guns, and finding a job all play a big part in adult life.

I think this article is really cool. It shows really important skills that aren't taught in school that you don't even realize till you actually think about it. Many day to day things aren't taught in school but things that we will never use are taught.

The right to protest has been a major point of freedom for the US. It's a fundamental right written in the constitution. Now lawmakers are trying to take away that freedom by making it illegal to protest.

The real problem is the groups that are vandalizing and rioting, and then claiming it is their right. Because of these people, these states are trying to do something that should never even be a thought. Basic human rights shall never be taken by Americans as long as we don't allow it. @albertskarsten you are absolutely right " We the people hold the power"

The right to peaceful protest should never be taken from the American people. I do not condone the violence and rioting that occurs, and laws pertaining to that are pertinent, but not peaceful protest. So many things have been accomplished because of these types of protests in our history. As a woman I would not be participating in this class if it weren't for the people brave enough to protest for equality. It is a travesty that government officials, who should know and understand the rights given to the us in the Constitution, would bring about legislation to override said rights.

Individuals today face many issues with welfare. An article that states what works and doesn't work for the system. People believe welfare should be regulated by the state not the federal government.

It is sad to see the welfare state of this country. Those who are on top are generally Republican and most people do not know how economics work. Those who are poor or middle class are far more likely to spend money thus stimulating the economy. If welfare is to be implemented it should be far less discriminatory.

The article covers the personal freedom issue of whether or not older people should be allowed to drive. This article introduces different ideas of how different states are dealing with older drivers. Some states are requiring more frequent testing, or some sort of evaluation. 

I think this is a great article. I think for a lot of elderly people the possibility of having their drivers license taken away makes them feel as if they just lost that piece of end independent living. I do agree the elderly should be tested to make sure they aren't at great risks for accidents. This articles speaks about classes older people can take to help them be safer drivers. Long story short. All elders should go through REGULAR testing to continue to drive! These old people are really acting out! This article helps identify lots of points that need to be taken to keep our elders safe!

This article focus on defining IEP, and its standards in schools. It gives statics on how teachers accepting children with disabilities in their classrooms, and the teacher who think its impossible to teach general children compared to children with disabilities. This article also compares the lesson plans teacher have to adjust to accommodate for children with disabilities in their class with general children.

This article argues the point that higher education should be free for a couple reasons. Disabled children of the U.S have a right to public education without a cost to their family. Every school has to try to meet the needs of every child with disabilities by providing special education. This is a law that says that every child who has a disability has to be taught in a "least restrictive environment". Meaning disabled kids go to the school in their district and also go to school with children who have no disabilities. This law also states that a disabled child should be put into a class that they would have been put into if they were not disabled if possible.
