Myron Proctor on 18 Jun 13I selected this article because I work as a substance abuse counselor and I see many clients that have withdrawn from or failed classes. I liked this article because it highlights the severe, sometimes deadly consequences of drug and alcohol abuse. Students encounter pressure to use drugs or alcohol from numerous places, and usually the negative consequences are not only failed to be mentioned, but even hidden until they are experienced. I would like to know more about how college students who do not engage in abusing substance deal with the social pressure to drink and use.
