This is a helpful, easy to read guide with videos on Evernote, a tool for teachers and students to bookmark, record voicemails, take text and voice notes, upload pictures, docs, PDFs and files, and capture images and information on the web as well as as a software download on your computer or as a plugin for your browser and also as an application for your mobile device. My goal this summer is to begin to maximize the my use of the tool, as I love being able to use it on my computers and mobile devices.

Join.me allows Mac and Windows users to quickly share their screens with each other and work together. The person offering the screen share must download the software, and then just give your nine digit access number to your collaborators to give them access to your screen and to converse with you. It could be a very handy tool for sharing your screen with students to walk them through an application or give to give a virtual presentation. Join.me could also be useful for professional development in which you're introducing colleagues to the ins and outs of a program.

I tried out this free screen capturing software (with audio) and I can see this is something I may want to use for quick tutorials. Exports video in .mp4, .avi, .flv, formats and assists in uploading to YouTube or to your computer. The pro version gives you the ability to edit, etc. and is only $12 a year. Try this app out!

Socrative is a student response system that leverages the use of smartphones, laptops and tablets by having students respond to questions in various quiz and game formats. Almost instantaneously, student responses are populated and can be viewed by the entire class. No matter what format you use, Socrative is a fun and easy way for students to receive immediate feedback and for teachers to collect marks.
