Listen to a thought provoking presentation while viewing an amazing animation illustrating the points of the presentation given by Sir Ken Robinson. Thought provoking presentation, to say the least.

The two I'm especially interested in are BigMarker and JoinMe. JoinMe is a good way to share screens and to actually work on someone else's computer. BigMarker gives the ability to do voice/video conferencing. Richard Byrne suggests using it to provide online tutoring, brainstorming sessions, and other online presentations. You can have a public or private meeting room, can share screens, and it comes with a white board you & others can draw on. I saw something that indicated you could upload docs & share those, as well. Lots to consider trying.

Add yourself into your PPT presentation, MS Word, etc. and bring life to your presentations. Free app that runs on the Windows OS and requires a webcam.

She demonstrates ways she helps engage students and grow skills in several areas, including communication, comprehension & critique, collaboration, content knowledge, etc. A couple of her main tools include Collaborize Classroom and Google Docs. 

A top-notch presentation on "Copyright for Educators" by Wesley Fryer, educator in Oklahoma. 

Some great ways for students to create and publish presentations online. Some allow you to embed video in them, as well.

Site presents information that could be used in classes that discuss personal life skills, careers, economics, etc.  "The living wage shown is the hourly rate that an individual must earn to support their family, if they are the sole provider and are working full-time (2080 hours per year). The state minimum wage is the same for all individuals, regardless of how many dependents they may have. The poverty rate is typically quoted as gross annual income. We have converted it to an hourly wage for the sake of comparison."

Nice collection of forms designed for educators. I like the quiz, Virtual Inbox, HS Document Collector and Viewer, and website collection and presentation form. I haven't looked at all the forms yet, but those stood out for me.

Technology integration isn't always as easy as presenters make it out to be. Here is a model to explore to assess/implement tech. integration. TPACK stands for Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge. This framework looks at each of these domains of knowledge, and how they overlap with each other within a given context. It can be an important tool when addressing the problem of technology integration.

Great presentation on the place/value of blended/online learning & the CA Open Campus Initiative. The Initiative was Federally-funded to develop the curriculum which is shared to schools that want to use it. Embedded in the HaikuLMS.

"Fixing the horse wagon won't get us to the moon," he said, referring to the current educational system as a holdover from an outdated era.
