Snaggy is a web-based tool for drawing on, annotating, and sharing screen captures. To draw or write on your screen capture just paste your screen capture image into Snaggy. Snaggy offers tools for highlighting a section of your screen capture, typing on it, and drawing free-hand on your image. You can also use Snaggy to crop your image. When you're ready to share your screen capture, Snaggy assigns is a custom url that you can Tweet, email, or post anywhere you like. Snaggy lets you save your edited screen captures to your computer too.

Join.me allows Mac and Windows users to quickly share their screens with each other and work together. The person offering the screen share must download the software, and then just give your nine digit access number to your collaborators to give them access to your screen and to converse with you. It could be a very handy tool for sharing your screen with students to walk them through an application or give to give a virtual presentation. Join.me could also be useful for professional development in which you're introducing colleagues to the ins and outs of a program.

What it is: Join Me is an incredibly simple way to share your computer screen with others. It works on both Windows and Mac allowing you to share your screen (and whatever is on it instantly). The simplicity of this site is brilliant. If you have even a sparkle of being a "techie" among family, colleagues, or friends, you most likely get regular phone calls asking for your help with something. The problem: those asking the question don't usually know enough to accurately articulate what their hang up is. Join Me is a simple solution, it lets you share screens so that you can see what the problem is and walk them step by step through the solution. Join Me is also great for the classroom, it lets students and teachers quickly share their screens for instant collaboration, feedback, or virtual meetings.

I tried out this free screen capturing software (with audio) and I can see this is something I may want to use for quick tutorials. Exports video in .mp4, .avi, .flv, formats and assists in uploading to YouTube or to your computer. The pro version gives you the ability to edit, etc. and is only $12 a year. Try this app out!

The two I'm especially interested in are BigMarker and JoinMe. JoinMe is a good way to share screens and to actually work on someone else's computer. BigMarker gives the ability to do voice/video conferencing. Richard Byrne suggests using it to provide online tutoring, brainstorming sessions, and other online presentations. You can have a public or private meeting room, can share screens, and it comes with a white board you & others can draw on. I saw something that indicated you could upload docs & share those, as well. Lots to consider trying.

Snaplr is a simple way to capture and annotate your desktop's activity. Its Free to download. After taking your screenshot, you can highlight a specific screenshot area further with a set of drawing tools. Copy your screenshot to the clipboard and paste it to an email or save it as a png attachment instead.  Works great in Gmail and Outlook. I like using this in Windows as Google Chrome doesn't have the best screen capture extensions right now that can annotate as easily as this tool.

Organization site for urls.Bunch a set of links together into one url and share the link to view the sites. Switch between the sites using the convenient bar at the top of the screen. Great for making sets of resources. - Martin Burrett
