    I hate facebook ads. There are about 5 completely random ones on a page, but then their is that one of something you googled about 10 minutes ago or even last week. It's pretty creepy, but I also hate to admit that it works. A bike keeps popping up on my facebook ads side bar, and I really may break down and buy it if I see it again.

    Something that has increased in popularity lately is Netflix. It's supported on Chrome Casts for the tv, computers, gaming systems, and has a really convenient app. The app essentially turns you phone into a remote. Now you don't have to run to the computer to change shows. I know nowandays the only time I actually download an app is for a service and I'll probably download this one.

    Points six and seven were the most unexpected, for me. As far as advertising, think "authenticity" is the most important of these trends to pay attention to. This is what separates effective and ineffective work.

    So playstation placed this giant machine in a train station asking passerbys to "place fingers" inside two holes, then hold it there for at least 5 seconds. When they did, it would start to electrocute them. As it's revealed at the end, the prize for doing so was a free copy of "Infamous: Second Son," a game that follows a character not unlike Mega Man who works as a conduit and can weaponize certain energies, including electricity.
