Digital storytelling is using technology to tell stories.  It's a great way to develop visual and media literacy, promote reflection, engage students in their own learning, improve speaking and writing skills, to collaborate, reflect and evaluate.   Here are the first 25 digital storytelling tools that you can use in your classes or just to tell your digital story. I'm sure you are already familiar with some of them and I hope you can find new tools to use.

Mit Project ROME stellt Adobe ein Tool vor, mit dem sich Audio, Video, Text und Grafik zu interaktiven Präsentationen zusammenführen und veröffentlichen lassen. Im YouTube-Kanal zu Project ROME finden sich Videos, die viele Funktionen erklären und Hilfestellung leisten sollen. Ab sofort kann jeder das Tool selbst probieren.

There are many great websites that provide opportunities for students to develop language skills, tell stories, and share back their knowledge in fun, creative, and meaningful ways each using a computer.  There are also terrific websites and portals which have links to excellent online interactives which can be used in the classroom  with an interactive whiteboard.  Below are links and short descriptions of these sites.

These are the undeniable trends emerging from the storytelling world, and nonprofit organizations would be wise to take notice and hop on board. It's not just about the stand-alone video anymore-- it's about embedding your message into as many relevant platforms as possible. And if I were to venture a prediction myself, it's that tools like this will raise public awareness-- and public action-- to a whole new level.
