"Modeling to Learn is a national quality improvement initiative in the Veterans Health Administration (VA). Funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and VA Health Services Research and Development (HSRD), scientific study of Modeling to Learn is underway to determine its effectiveness increasing delivery of evidence-based addiction and mental health care (NIDA R01DA046651 and R21DA042198 ; HSRD I01HX002521; PI: Zimmerman ). Modeling to Learn supports multidisciplinary teams of frontline psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and certified peer support specialists in VA. Modeling to Learn was developed by a multidisciplinary team of scientists and partners known as Team Participatory System Dynamics or Team PSD. About EPI. The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank created in 1986 to include the needs of low- and middle-income workers in economic policy discussions. EPI believes every working person deserves a good job with fair pay, affordable health care, and retirement security. To achieve this goal, EPI conducts research and analysis on the economic status of working America. EPI proposes public policies that protect and improve the economic conditions of low- and middle-income workers and assesses policies with respect to how they affect those workers.

Transition is a movement that has been growing since 2005. It is about communities stepping up to address the big challenges they face by starting local. By coming together, they are able to crowd-source solutions. They seek to nurture a caring culture, one focused on supporting each other, both as groups or as wider communities.

Corporation for Positive Change is a global network of master consultants, linked by a shared commitment to the principles and practices of Appreciative Inquiry and Positive Change. We are skilled designers and facilitators of high engagement, strength-based, large-scale change. We help with the human side of organizing, strategic change, and culture transformation in businesses, non-profits and NGO's, health care, education, government and religious organizations. We are team builders, helping with leadership, professional, and project teams to achieve their goals by clarifying their purpose and principles, strengthening stakeholder relations, and aligning strengths around performance outcomes.

PEC primarily serves homeless families consisting of single mothers and their young children. Many of these families are headed by young mothers with little or no work experience and some history of personal or familial trauma. The work of PEC is to support these families through a complement of social services that are intended to chip away at their barriers to success. Families at PEC are supported through emergency and transitional housing, employment and job training, computer skills development, GED and workplace literacy, as well as case management and counseling services. Through its efforts, PEC enables the families it serves to achieve long-term economic and personal self-sufficiency.

Art VULUPS is the result of a ten-year assemblage of relationships encompassing geography, environmental science, land use planning, sustainability, art and creativity concepts. During this time, many individuals have contributed with ideas, suggestions and time; they have also helped define the meaning, purpose and scope of this project. Its realization has only been possibly by the genuine embrace of a number of progressive, community-based institutions. Certain elements such as adventure, risk, careful observation and reflection have played an instrumental role in providing for the necessary inspiration, momentum and excitement that all together form the concept of Art as a Vehicle to Understand Land Use Planning and Sustainability Project.

The mission of the Center for Partnership Studies is to catalyze movement towards partnership systems on all levels of society through research, education, grassroots empowerment, and policy initiatives.
