Ask UCF is a database where faculty members and students may pose a question and search for answers regarding various aspects of UCF. If you ask a question, you will receive a response via email and the topic and response may be added to the question database. One of the benefits of the site is that its information is available 24/7.

Games for Change (G4C) is a non-profit which seeks to harness the extraordinary power of video games to address the most pressing issues of our day, including poverty, education, human rights, global conflict and climate change. G4C acts as a voice for the transformative power of games, bringing together organizations and individuals from the nonprofit sector, government, journalism, academia, industry and the arts, to grow the sector and provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and resources. Through this work, Games for Change promotes new kinds of games that engage contemporary social issues in meaningful ways to foster a more just, equitable and tolerant society. You can also use Connect Pro to present ideas and information by augmenting your audio conference with PowerPoint slides, moderated discussion, or application sharing. Adobe Connect is supported by the Office of Information Resources at UCF.

Digital Content or e-Packs consist of publisher-created digital content that is ready to use in your Webcourses@UCF account. An e-Pack may include learning materials, multimedia elements, and assessments. The quality and the features of e-Packs varies tremendously. Please e-mail your instructional designer if you find an e-Pack you would like to view. We can upload the e-Pack to a Webcourses@UCF practice account for your review. There is no cost for a faculty member to view an e-Pack. If you decide to use one, your students may be charged an access fee. The fee charged to students varies and is generally part of a bundled textbook product. Search the ePacks area for possible ePacks in your discipline.

Webcourses-News - This announcement-only listserv notifies all Webcourses@UCF users when there is an event effecting online courses, such as maintenance times. Webcourses - This opt-in general discussion listerv is for users to communicate with each other about what they are doing in their online courses. List activity varies and members can unenroll themselves at any time. To subscribe to either of these listserves, please email itg@mail.ucf.edu with the name(s) of the list(s) you would like to join.

iBreadCrumbs is a recording toolbar for your Web browser. It records each site you go to while you are researching a topic. Pages that are not relevant can be deleted and notes can be added to the pages you elect to keep.

The Faculty Center at UCF was created to serve faculty. Their primary mission is to support and promote faculty in their roles as teachers, researchers, scholars, and as members of UCF and the Central Florida community. Their services, resources, and events are available to all university instructors, including full-time and part-time faculty and graduate teaching assistants.

The RITE group supports UCF faculty in formulating and implementing research on effective teaching practices in higher education. An earlier version of their presentation during their IDL6543 seminar is also available at their Web site.

"Flat World Knowledge, a free, open source textbook publisher, has announced plans to add support for direct integration of its books into campus learning management systems (LMS) like Blackboard and ANGEL. With Flat World's LMS-supported textbooks, professors and publishers will be able to include supplementary material content in its entirety available directly on the platform and split up chapters into various folders according to their syllabus. " Their contents are expanding, but the majority of their contents focus on business at this time.
