EBSCOhost Research Databases EBSCOhost is a powerful online reference system accessible via the Internet. It offers a variety of proprietary full text databases and popular databases from leading information providers. The comprehensive databases range from general reference collections to specially designed, subject-specific databases for public, academic, medical, corporate and school libraries. EBSCO Support Site EBSCO's Support Site is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our FAQ database, tutorials, and user guides can provide answers to your technical questions. EBSCO Customer Support Representatives are also available by phone and e-mail 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday, as well as Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (US EST). How to Use Help * When the Help icon Help Question Mark appears, you can click the icon and help for the screen you are on will display. * To obtain help for the database(s) you are searching, click the Help icon Help Question Mark to the right of the Find field and click on the Database name at the bottom of the left-hand side of the Help window. Database help is also available from the Choose Databases window. * To view the entire Help System, click the Help link at the top right-hand corner of the screen. Note: The recommended screen resolution for EBSCOhost is 1024 x 768.

Ask UCF is a database where faculty members and students may pose a question and search for answers regarding various aspects of UCF. If you ask a question, you will receive a response via email and the topic and response may be added to the question database. One of the benefits of the site is that its information is available 24/7.

Get Full Text is a way to find the full text of a given article, and to see other services and options related to the article. To use Get Full Text: 1. Look for the Get Full Text or SFX button and when you search databases 2. Click the button to see a menu of full text and more. See Example Menu below. 3. Click on links in the menu to get full text, info about the volumes the library owns, services and additional search options.

Databases for Articles & Other Information

Your UCF ID serves as your Library card. Activation of your Library ID number is necessary to check out library materials, view electronic resources off-campus, and utilize Interlibrary Loan. If you are an enrolled student, staff or faculty member of UCF and have never checked out materials at any of the UCF Libraries, please fill out the form below. Circulation staff will activate your ID during regular Library operating hours. If your ID is not activated within 48 hours, or have any other problems or questions, please call (407) 823-2580 or email us at circ@mail.ucf.edu for assistance.
