Journey North is a global study of wildlife migration and seasonal change. Journey North is an online science education project in which students track spring's journey across the northern hemisphere.

This standards-based Real Time Data Module has been created for use by students in the elementary grades to allow them to investigate weather phenomena both locally as well as in other places around the world. By using hands-on activities and real-time data investigations, the students will develop a basic understanding of how weather can be described in measurable quantities, such as temperature, wind and precipitation.

Curriki, the online education community, is building the first website to offer free, open-source instructional materials for K-12. We have thousands of free worksheets, lesson plans, exams, project ideas and activities for English language arts, math, science, social studies, technology integration and other subjects.

Global SchoolNet's uses content driven collaboration. The age ranges vary and you are able to set the filter for your class level. I like this because it provides options to choose from, so you can pick based on the interest level of your kiddos, as well as the topics you are teaching. The only pitfall I could see would be if there was nothing relevant.

Ahhh..but the band is the perfect example of differentiation: different instruments and each group of instruments is tiered by ability (1st clarinet, 2nd clarinet and 3rd clarinet, for instance).

I love this idea of having the PBL measurable -- not only a PSA, and an action step, but MEASURING the changes in behaviors/beliefs through tangible measurements. (Makes me think about Kirkpatrick)... It also makes me think about how this is a great CommonCore unit too! I would love to see an authentic school-wide (or grade level) PBL. How innovative would that be? While also causing us to behave as a PLC.
