Educreations is a global community where anyone can teach what they know and learn what they don't. You can also create lessons using our online whiteboard, which works in any browser that supports flash. In teaching it is often the little things we do on a daily basis that have the largest cumulative effect. While the events, festivals, camps and more spectacular lessons may stand out in our memories these moments have less overall impact across the time that our students spend in our company. Getting these little details right however is a complex business that demands we bring our best to every interaction, every lesson and every opportunity we have to shape the minds and dispositions of our learners. 'Embodied learning' blends lessons with student-computer interaction In an Elizabeth Forward Middle School classroom, students in an eighth-grade math class spent a recent morning getting into their lesson-literally. Standing in their socks on a 15-by-15 game board that was projected onto a foam mat on the floor, they waved wands to move brightly colored virtual balls around the space.

This site offers an interactive introduction to electric circuits covering the basics of circuits and leading up to conductors, insulators, switches, and circuit diagrams. Easy to use with bright colors, The Blobz Guide to Electric Circuits presents the perfect introduction to circuits for the elementary student. Students follow Bob and the other Blobz through five lessons on circuits. Each lesson begins with background information, moves to an activity using drag and drop, and then ends with a quiz.

Learn to play guitar with this beautifully designed site. Work through the lessons using your own guitar along with your computer's microphone so the site can interact with you as you play in real time. The site will even help you tune it. If you haven't got a guitar to hand, you can use the on-screen virtual guitar. The course is designed for beginners, but lessons progress quickly. This website offering free science resources was developed by learningscience.org, an organization dedicated to sharing the emerging tools of science education: real-time data collection, simulations, inquiry based lessons, interactive web lessons, micro-worlds, and imaging.
