Interesting WebQuest that provides students with an opportunity to explore art history and collage! I appreciate your effort to cover different art movements. Also, your site is easy to navigate.
Suggestions: Revise your language so it is as clear and simple as possible. Ask students to use their initials, rather than their names when posting online. Providing collage and group project examples would help students to better understand your art making expectations. Students do not have access to YouTube.

Great WebQuest that enables students to explore contemporary artists while acting as curators!
Suggestions: Providing additional theme examples would likely help students. Keep wording as clear and simple as possible. Eighth graders will not fully understand terms such as feminism. Rather than asking students to use their names when making comments and postings, please revise this request by asking for initials.
Group 3 (grade 8, period 7) Urban Expressionism - 23 views

Great lesson! We studied graffiti earlier this quarter and the students seemed to enjoy it. Students should be comfortable with your lesson's content and find it interesting as it builds on their previous exploration of street art by adding a photography and collage component.
Suggestions: Students cannot go outside unless the entire class goes outside with my supervision. You may want to revise this suggestion. Students may not need four days to complete the project. Providing a street art collage example would likely help students envision the project better.

Feedback: Great lesson! Students will enjoy exploring the world via Google Maps and creating cities that reflect them. I appreciate your easy to follow step-by-step instructions and thoughtful grading rubric.
Suggestions: Could students work in pairs? This may help with any Google Sketchup confusion that may occur. Students may not have access to YouTube--I will find out. I agree with Leah that a link to simplified Sketchup instructions would greatly benefit students with no previous experience.
Group 7. Mini Movie Project. - 10 views

This is a wonderful WebQuest that I am sure my ninth grade students will enjoy! I found your site to be very user-friendly as it is easy to navigate and the content is presented in a clear step-by-step manner.
Suggestions: I recommend reducing the amount of photos that you require. I only have six digital cameras that must be shared. Uploading videos to YouTube may be problematic. I will have to make sure that the students have access to YouTube when using the library laptop cart.
Also, we have to be careful about posting student work online. This comment applies to all groups. My school's administration requests that work be posted on the school's site, so that I can monitor online comments.
Group 4 Celebrate Around the World - 19 views

Feedback: This is an adventurous WebQuest that I foresee seventh grade students enjoying!
Suggestions: I see that many pages are in progress. Keep everything as simple and clear as possible. Use more images and less text to help represent each country and keep students' interest. I would also reduce redundant and/or unnecessary pages. Seventh graders may be confused by the site's navigation, if they have to click on too many embedded links. Providing specific project requirements and examples will help the students tremendously.

First, thank you for creating such wonderful WebQuests! I truly appreciate your time and effort! I will attempt to answer some of your questions and plan to Skype with you during your class tomorrow.
Testing will occur at my school during the next two weeks. l may have to let an English teacher use one of the laptop carts that I previously signed out. Therefore, students may need to work in pairs, if there are not enough laptops.
Regarding YouTube, I can access and project it using my computer, if necessary. I could upload videos for students and allow private viewing.
Please ask students to post artwork and peer comments on Dr. Motter's Grade 7 Art Blog, Grade 8 Art Blog, or Grade 9 Art Blog, so that I can monitor comments as requested by my administration. You can all post comments at these blogs as well.
Students can sign out cameras from me if they need to take pictures outside or after school. Some students have their own cameras and phones they can use. I may be able to take a class outside (depending on the weather).
