You have a fun and solid theme throughout each page and have a good introduction to what the students should expect. There are minor spelling/grammar errors on the "lets celebrate" page but besides that the page looks energetic and the links are working well. All text is legible and writing seems to be on a 7th grade level. Your directions are clear and I assume your links that are in progress will be as well. I would be careful that the students don't get boggled down to mainly researching and reading about celebrations/art over more active activities. I would also add more images, but the pages are in progress so you may already have thought of this :). I really like your excursions page and idea. This is a good way for the students to keep learning even after they have finished the daily lessons early. Your titles and buttons also have clever names which is a great way to excite the students working on your site. From what I can see the students will often reflect and learn new material as they become more culturally aware. Great job!
As of yet, I can't find any Web 2.0 technologies or links, but many links/pages are still in progress and am assuming that they are just not ready to be put into the site. If decoration or greeting card links are web 2.0 based then awesome and the students can even write cards to each other! Just make sure you have one, like youtube or an art making program could be fun.

    6. The design conveys a theme of world traveling. It works very well with your project. The text was readable, and writing was clear and appropriate for 7th grade.
    7. The task consistently asks for the students to think critically and reflect on their lesson for the day. The travel journal was a great idea, and will help students remember the following day what they learned or at the end of the lesson to create their holiday. Having a lesson stretched out like this over two weeks can be challenging for students to pick up exactly where they left off each day. The journal is a great tool to use to overcome this challenge.
    8. The rubrics were not linked yet.
    9. The task does not mention what Web 2.0 technology they are using. It is probably in the directions that are not linked yet. Some technologies they could use to create greeting cards are Photoshop, Paint, or Cardvio greeting cards which is an online program that allows you to create your own greeting cards.
    10. The students are creating cards, but I didn't see a way for students to interact with one another.

    1. I love their theme, which is celebrate world art, where I am able to explore different countries. it's very simple to navigate, as well as read and understand. It seems to be age appropriate as well.
    2. Their "Travel Journal" where they ask for a comment each day they work is a good idea. It will help the students think about what they're doing and why it's efficient. They also have a "Questions" tab, or "send us a postcard" where students are able to ask questions to Jenna and Danielle. Thats important because there will most likely be questions throughout the project.

    4. The students are able to explore different countries art. I like the Holidays and Celebrations tab where they will edit it and show how different cultures work. Each lesson (in the process still) seems to be very organized as well.
    5. Yes--Their travel journal, viewing pictures, working with partners.

First thing I noticed is that there is a definite theme! From the introduction to the journey, to the names of the pages and links, the traveling theme is fun and exciting! It pulls everything together. I think that it is definitely age appropriate and well put together. The actual lesson plan was unclear to me. I didn't know I had to click on the balloons for the longest time. Once I got there I liked the look of the pages and can't wait to see what they look like. I don't know if the pages are not created yet or not but I feel that they know what they are doing. I know that the links to things like the "greeting cards" are not set-up yet. The transitions from day to day seem to be right on track and it helps to see the schedule. The students have to start out researching other countries' holidays before moving on to eventually create their own based on what they have learned. I did not see any rubric yet on the page. A web 2.0 technology I saw was the use of blogging. The students will post what they have learned throughout their excursions on the website and will be required to comment on each others progress. This gives a chance for peer reviewing and perhaps even scaffolding. This is where the students will interact with each other.

All in all I like the ideas and I like the page and theme. The "Excursions" page was a nice touch for those who may finish fast! Just watch spelling and grammar because there are a lot of mistakes on the Let's Celebrate! page. One last thing, there are a lot of links! It took me a while to find the lessons so maybe limiting the confusion or making the setup consistent would be easier. The layout for the Excursions page was very easy to understand.

After talking with Danielle and Jenna I found out the blog they are using is Web 2.0 technology. They are also planning on having students submit their work to a site where they can share their work. The blogs are also in discussion form which will help students understand why others find certain holidays interesting.

Feedback: This is an adventurous WebQuest that I foresee seventh grade students enjoying!

Suggestions: I see that many pages are in progress. Keep everything as simple and clear as possible. Use more images and less text to help represent each country and keep students' interest. I would also reduce redundant and/or unnecessary pages. Seventh graders may be confused by the site's navigation, if they have to click on too many embedded links. Providing specific project requirements and examples will help the students tremendously.

    Good start!
