I like the fixed background! Something to change , in the drop-down "movements" tab, the movement options cannot be seen when they hover over the "The Task" box. I thought there were only four options listed but then I realized there were more links. I think its a good idea that you have your class researching so much on their topics before they jump into their projects. The Movements pages seem very precise and helpful and the lessons page is easy to follow (just watch out for misspellings! Magazines was misspelled on the Lessons page stage 2). There is no rubric yet. At the end of the lesson, the students are able to collaborate with each other to create their final project. They begin making individual sketches/collages and move onto one final painting in small groups. The one Web 2.0 technology I found was the use of YouTube videos to help students in researching the movement of their choice. I think that more YouTube videos would be useful since kids are more visual and it may explain the movements more precisely than reading through so many ordinary links.

    1. Your web quest definitely conveys a theme of time. It's obvious you're addressing the past and the overall look is really interesting and striking. I love that you included key terms in your energetic introduction. Everything seems very age appropriate.

    2. Your project seems to be pointing towards some elements of art history, which is such a great thing to start teaching students and it also facilitates critical thinking in terms of the times you are working with.

    3. It looks like you may still be working on your rubric (we are too). I posted a link that has been very helpful for us in my post in Dani and Jenna's critique.

    4. Yes, you included a detailed plan for their daily activities and what you expected from them throughout every step.

    5. You included plenty of helpful resources which will facilitate discussion among the students and hopefully generate big questions that will aid in their learning.

Looks great! I'm excited to see the finished product!

    6. The design conveys the theme of world exploration. All text is readable, and writing is age appropriate for 8th graders. The introduction has a couple capital letters that aren't necessary. The lessons portion has a few errors. The key terms is a great idea. It is a good reference tool for students to look at while they are going through the lesson.
    7. The task asks students to think critically throughout the lesson. The step which asks students to write what they think each movement is about before they learn about them. I liked the different mini lessons especially the first one it was very creative and will help the students relate their work to what they learned before creating a bigger piece at the end of your lesson.
    8. The evaluation is not completed
    9. They used web quest technology
    10. The end project is a group project where students worked in groups. This is a great way for students to learn from one another why that movement was their favorite.

I agree with Carolyn--it seems as if you're jumping into the project right now. Maybe you could find some websites that help relate to art movements that can explain what it is in a different context. The theme is good though, good pictures to help motivate the students. I like how you are doing 4 different movements: Greek, baroque, realism and renaissance. My groups having a hard time with wix right now (making pictures links) but I know you're working on it! Also maybe add some pictures to your lesson page! It needs some "oomph". Good job though!

Interesting WebQuest that provides students with an opportunity to explore art history and collage! I appreciate your effort to cover different art movements. Also, your site is easy to navigate.

Suggestions: Revise your language so it is as clear and simple as possible. Ask students to use their initials, rather than their names when posting online. Providing collage and group project examples would help students to better understand your art making expectations. Students do not have access to YouTube.
