The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at the University of Oregon looks at the work of two Oregon artists in "Contemporary Oregon Visions: Jo Hamilton and Irene Hardwicke Olivieri." On view from April 1 to August 3, 2014, the exhibition presents two substantially different but equally innovative approaches to figurative art.

On The Rocks was founded in 1999 by Leo DaSilva and Peter Hollens when they attended the University of Oregon. The group established itself through five albums with an EP, a viral video of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, and appearances on NBC's show "The Sing Off". And now they are a new group of twelve living up to their past of fame and notoriety. You may ask us, "Why don't you sing Lady Gaga?" or "Where are the guys from the 'Sing Off'?" Sadly those days are gone. Those who graduated left us a great legacy and we look up to their talent every time we sing. But talent never graduates. Talent built this group from a time before the boom of TV shows and viral videos, because having the time of our lives has always been the goal and will continue to be forever. So know this: Every time we perform, we step on stage with the vigor of every man who has ever sang in our name. On. The. Rocks.

I really enjoy these guys because of the community that they create while singing and the way they can harmonize themselves all together.

The men in OTR are so talented and show perseverance with all of their endeavors. Especially knowing one of the members and how he balances about 7 different social scenes with the U of O, I am truly amazed with what they can do. They don't just use their voices but also their personalities which to me is one of the best parts when it comes to entertaining.

CINEMA PACIFIC is a collaborative effort between the University of Oregon and the Eugene community. Administered by graduate students in the UO Arts and Administration Program, who work alongside undergraduate interns, CINEMA PACIFIC utilizes venues across campus and Eugene for a five-day festival of screenings, live multimedia performances, and art exhibitions.

The University of Oregon Symphony Orchestra is the premiere orchestra at UO and one of the finest university orchestras on the west coast. It serves as a laboratory for music majors and especially talented non-majors who have demonstrated the necessary expertise to study ensemble performance technique and repertoire spanning a broad time frame and encompassing a wide variety of musical styles.

The artist Mike Van hosting a painting and drawing exhibition in Maude Kerns Art Center from April 4th to May 2nd. Mike Van completed his MFA in painting and drawing at university of Oregon in 1957. His work features many aspects, drawing, painting, watercolors, etc. And many of his works based on animal figures and nature. In the exhibition, he is showing his work that he created since 1957 to 2014, which is exciting and inspiring.

I have not been to the fair but would love to go sometime, from what I have read from the comments and heard form the community it is an amazing experience.

I can't wait and see the world class entertainers and performers, hand craft artisans and gourmet food creators at this amazing festival.

Last spring Eugene began showcasing local artists by placing 6-foot tall fiberglass duck sculptures in and around local businesses in the downtown area. The Eugene artists had a variety of themes for the feathered flock that represented Lane County life and culture.
