One of the many museums within the SD Balboa Park area, this venue used photography to capture some of the most powerful pictures.

What gorgeous imagery! It was hard to believe that these images aren't digital, but from film. The colors and textures are stunning. As a mixed-media photographic artist, I found Fayman's work particularly fascinating. Thank you for posting.

San Francisco's city covered in public art allows visitors to gain a better understanding of the culture and history of the city itself; since the establishment of the Art Enrichment Ordinance the city has funded artists to portray their work throughout the various buildings of the city.

I grew up in San Francisco and I have always appreciated the art around the city. The most memorable are the different heart sculptures that have been placed around downtown.

I have been there many times and I always want to live in SF. Everything in San Francisco is beautiful and artistic but At&t park is the most beautiful building in there to me

Gina Ayers Signore is a professional artist and photographer who creates images using a variety of mediums, including acrylic collage painting, sculpture and digital photography. Gina combines her artistic sensibilities with her affinity and passion for nature to produce unique perspectives in both her fine art and photography. She displays her work in regional galleries and has been selected in numerous juried art shows. The archival fine art photographs have been altered using photoshop software, acrylic paints, water color and color pencils. Collage paintings are made of acrylic paint on arches print paper and take months to complete.

Now in its third year, Seattle Symphony's critically acclaimed Sonic Evolution project creates a bridge between the Symphony and Seattle's storied reputation as launching pad for some of the most creative musicians on the popular music scene. Each year, in celebration of the past, present and future of our city's musical legacy, Ludovic Morlot and the Seattle Symphony commission world-class composers to write orchestral world premieres inspired by bands and artists that launched from, or are related to, Seattle.

The Cultural Forum proudly presents the Pacific Northwest Art Annual. This yearly juried exhibition was created to highlight emerging and established artists in our regions art world. This year, we are excited to be showing the work of over 15 artists ranging from traditional painters to mixed media artists, from May 5th to May 31st. There will be a reception for the opening day on May 5th at 2pm, featuring the local art, free food, and live music. The 2014 winner of this juried competition will be also announced.

Vancouver will be hosting a recycled arts festival from June 28-29. There will be over 120 artists with stage perfumers, jugglers, and clowns. Nothing like mixing some good music with some good art. This is promoting the practice of recycling as well which I think is really important to show to people, and how recycled works can be just as good as those who use new materials only. It would be cool to see how one's trash develops into an artists treasure.
