It was a research effort focusing on nine highschool and middle school science classrooms that really emphasizes the making of a classroom blog- ie. what's important and what's not. It really takes an in depth look at the effectiveness of using the blogs to help bridge the gap between teaching and students.

This article deals with the problems that first year students go through on campus during their first year. The article deals with responses to over 500 college students to a survey. It deals with problems from roommates to being sick often. Not too many people reported that they had been affected very often. Also only two percent were stressed about housing. Only three were stressed about problems with a professor.

They question if boys are really better at math compared to girls. Yes, there is a gap between the genders that they have found by it is not caused by what we think. The assumption is that there is a biological difference but with the studies they figured out that males learn differently compared to females which is causing this gap. The education systems need to take this in to consideration so that the needs of both genders get met.

The school boards want to switch from a simple lecture and memorizing to a more hands on so that may the girls could have a better chance of catching up. Harvard is looking into if this is a good idea to do because they are having a hard time figuring out why males excel in math compared to females.

Having good nutrition and physical activity early in life can benefit you later in life by influencing this like your metabolism. This starts prenatally, within the mother, all the way through your childhood years. They tested on animals and found that rats with a higher level of protein and did more physical activity, such as running, had more energy and grew to be leaner and healthier.

The study was to see how the incorporation of technology affected to students academic performance. The mix of books and technology was to see which way of teaching is more efficient. Among overweight participants, 42.6% of those who believed they were overweight admitted to binge eating, while only 30.1% who did not feel overweight did so. Among non-overweight participants, 43.2% of those who believed they were overweight admitted to binge eating, while only 32.9% of those who did not feel overweight did so. Weight Problem Perception mediated the contribution of BMI on binge eating outcomes, and WPP contributed significantly to the prediction of binge eating, beyond the risk conferred by established correlates of binge eating ( gender, mood, and cigarette smoking). Results suggest that when assessing risk for binge eating, a one-question assessment of whether or not an individual believes he or she is overweight has significant predictive power.

This study basically shows that it varies from person to person, depending on the particular school they attend.
