It discusses the relationship between parents, hospital staff, and the special educators in the efforts to make the transition for the child less dramatic. It also talks about the behavior problems of the child once they are back in a school setting. This research was conducted with special educators to develop what skills and resources they need to help the child succeed.

The article ultimately shows that those students who are self-determined are more likely to seek out help during their academic transition.

The study was to see how the incorporation of technology affected to students academic performance. The mix of books and technology was to see which way of teaching is more efficient. Since kids grew up with technology it was an easy transition for them to use the PDAs.
