This article is all about transitioning children from a psychiatric hospital into school and the role special education teachers plan in that transition. It discusses the relationship between parents, hospital staff, and the special educators in the efforts to make the transition for the child less dramatic. It also talks about the behavior problems of the child once they are back in a school setting. This research was conducted with special educators to develop what skills and resources they need to help the child succeed.

Prejudice and racism is very embedded within American society that attitudes remain largely unrecognized. Prejudice reduction is a necessary component of multicultural education.

This article focuses on the United States and the need to incorporate global education within a student's education. With domestic diversity within America and the constant flow of immigrants, gaining more insight about other cultures and ways of life is beneficial and essential when interacting with people from different backgrounds. Unfamiliar groups, cultures and languages can produce anxiety and hostility from those who don't understand or are ignorant to other cultures. This article offers several suggestions for teacher to go about incorporating global education into many different subjects.

All in all, this article is used to inform readers of the changes within English literacy.

The article studies the effects that childhood cancer had on people. It talks about how it effects their education, marriage, employment, ect. In the conclusion the results showed that the patients had significant differences in education and health insurence when compared with their siblings. Gender also played a big effect in the study.

Student's need the knowledge, attitudes and skills required to function in their cultural communities.

They did a survey of the curriculum's of various schools which have a strong international student base and found this to be true. All in all it proves its point that the notion of an international education actually most times does not do much in the way of preparing the students for an international or global education.

Living in a post 9/11 society, it is important to educate in order to correct global misunderstandings about the Islamic religion. The failure to teach Islam as a world religion has resulted in ignorance about the role of this religion in world history. Scholars have criticized that the misunderstandings about Islam, and present global conflicts are due to inaccurate media portrayals and the lack of education within schools. While Islam is a peaceful religion, the media has been shaping a negative stereotype of associating Muslims with violence. This article focuses on this understudied issue within Asia and attempts to incorporate this information to Chinese students in Eastern Asia.

The idea of media literacy prompts an increasingly divisive debate between educators who wish to protect children from the commercialization of global markets and those who challenge critical media studies as misguided, outdated, and ineffective. We have provided a historical overview of changing conceptions of media literacy as preparation and protection in market society, arguing that contemporary concerns about children's fast food marketing and sedentary lifestyles call for new approaches to the education of citizen-consumers in a risk society. Our case study demonstrates that a media education programme can provide scaffolding for children's critical thinking about their sedentary lifestyles and media consumption. Umbach, Paul D., et al. "Intercollegiate Athletes and Effective Educational Practices: Winning Combination or Losing Effort?." Research in Higher Education 47.6 (2006), 709 - 733. This article talks about how the education of college athletes has grown over the years. The study compares student athletes to non-athletes in their academic engagements. This study concludes that contrary to popular belief about student athletes, there is not much of a difference between the two groups when it comes to academics. When there are differences between the two the athletes were favored in academic performance.
