"You may have already heard about PhotoMath, the new iPhone app that lets you point it at a math problem on a textbook and then solves it while showing all the work involved. Some are immediately reacting by citing it's potential use in "cheating," while others cheer that it might force math teachers and textbook publishers to be more creative in how they teach math. In some ways, it may force them to do what some of us in other subjects have been looking at - creating unGoogleable questions. Here are some useful posts about the app, along with a video. "

"Fast forward to today… Even though there are always new edtech trends emerging, I no longer find myself having those yikes moments when I read about them on Twitter or hear about them on a TEDx Talk. However, as I assist colleagues in the classroom, facilitate PD, and collaborate with a team of administrators and teachers to develop a new K-12 tech plan, I am finding that many of the individuals I encounter throughout my work day are currently experiencing what I did eight years ago-that same what the what feeling that often creates anxiety and doubt. "While content marketing strives to generate brand awareness through "clicks," it's dangerous to your business and brand if your content is misleading or misrepresentative. This type of content is most commonly described as "clickbait."   The New York Times defines clickbait as "headlines that leave readers feeling cheated when they've finished the article" in the post 'How We Define Clickbait (Which We Do Our Best to Avoid). "

"It's often easy to get stuck into a narrow view of what a particular field of study entails, but as Dominic Walliman reveals in his impressive science infographics, there's much more than meets the eye when thinking of particular STEM subjects. "I think most people who are using ChatGPT to help with writing are doing it wrong. I don't just mean because they using it to cheat on school assignments (don't do that) or because they don't check the facts that ChatGPT gives (they might be made up), but because they have the wrong mental model for how to work with the system.
