"I liked News360 when a reviewed it last April. It uses several sources for stories, and it was interesting to see the different takes on any single event. Of course News360 was also an excellent news discovery tool, scanning thousands of news sources to keep me up to date. One of the issues with News360 is you had no control over the sources. The app was basically static, and you got what you got. That's all changed in version 2 of this free app, released today."

The ability to digitally scan documents on-demand in class, make it viewable in large form, then write, erase, highlight on said document is an incredibly valuable tool.

Book Wizard Mobile is a free iPad, iPhone, and Android app that you can use to scan a book's barcode to quickly discover its lexile measurement, grade level equivalent, and guided reading level. Within the app you can create book lists and edit the existing book lists that you have created in your Scholastic.com teacher profile."

"The dance of printing a document, taking a pen and signing it, then scanning and emailing it to a banker or client is one I think we've all done. It's also extremely inefficient, not to mention annoying. The Mac's handy-dandy Preview app makes it possible to fill out and digitally sign a document, but it's just as easy to sign from an iOS device, and of course there is no shortage of apps for that. Someone in the group suggested using those videos as layers in Aurasma that would trigger when students scanned a geometric shape. First, iOS device owners should find that the speed of both math recognition and calculation has been boosted as of PhotoMath 1.1.0. You'll find that using PhotoMath on your iPhone or iPod touch is a more efficient process as of the app's most recent update. Second, PhotoMath 1.1.0 now also allows users to delete their scanning history.
